I went today, nearly all the good stuff sold out! I wanted a Tommy Hilfiger half zip sweat, which was $105 with further 40% off but they only had one left in small and wrong colour..
I have to say to check out Marcs though, I saw a really nice duffle coat for $199 down from $400. Alot of their stuff is reduced pretty heavily with some shirts for $35.
Jeff Banks shoes are around $50-$60 each and they have a boat shoe in a boot style which looks cool. RRP was $140 so pretty big discount.
Thats about all I saw though. I don't like Myer in house brands they are poor quality, and usually they are the ones that are reduced the most but I dont take note of them
45% off bedding (eg. Sealy Posturepedic), I wonder if this is good value? Myer usually has over the top prices to begin with.
It's a standard discount that they run at various times throughout the year. Pretty good deal imo.
They run this type of big discount on all their bedding so often that you can start considering the 40%~45% discounted price is a original price, not really a discount anymore…
Unless you urgently need a bed, i would recommend you to shop around more and not to rush into this just for the sale's sake.
The price of bedding is almost regulated like the price of IPODS, unless you are getting a demo model or whatever most beds come from the factory and the reps in the stores (DJS, MYer, HN) are often employees of the bed makers not the stores - its a franchising thing
SO yeah 40% off the marked price is about standard price, but it is difficult to do a heap better than that because as I say the prices are maintained…
HMMMMM wondering about going over this morning to have a look (bondi). Not sure if it will be worth it though.
I was at Bondi yesterday. There was not much good stuff apart from the shoes and marcs clothes that I mentioned above.
While I was there 2 guys bought the duffle coats from Marcs and I think there is only one left now.
I usually go for the cheaper stuff anyway, you happen to know if there was any bauhaus/superdry?
Implying Superdry is cheap…
Some of their stuff is definitely expensive like the leathers but they have quite a few jackets that are sub $100
Does that Myer stock Superdry? Didn't see any, I would have been interested if they did. I think I saw some Bauhaus stuff though, I didnt look at it.
nah only DJ's stock superdry
i know there was discounted Bauhaus for kids. Picked up a Bauhaus hoodie for my son today for $20
woo hoo got heaps of baby clothes ranging from $6-12
Got crumpler bags at 40% off. awesome.
Wow really? They told me crumpler wasn't included in the sale… Which bags did you get, the luggage bags, or shoulder/backpacks
Two large travel cases + one laptop shoulder bag (considerable embarrassment).
Ended up going to eastgardens and getting a few bauhaus jackets for $30-$50, not many left though. Wasn't much else around
+1 for spot-on use of air quotes in the description :D
I went to Chatswood it was a waste of time. Nothing cheap. They had a few ralph lauren polos in odd sizes for $39.
Still on today, In Melbourne CBD store at least this is a very REAL Myers sale, as opposed to the "every day is a sale day" sales - or at least my wife assures me that is the case. She's saved thousands (by spending hundreds) - much of the designer clothing is only 25% of the ticketed price.
+1
I found lots of kids clothes 50% off the already reduced price. Some at $4 to $10.
