Also when I type in my post code it says postage is only $7, so without free postage it would still be only $476.50 to me, not $479.35

Thanks for your input ozdavo. However, I have found that NOT to be the case when sellers are trying to avoid revealing that they are selling USA, UK, HK, models of some device. They say "stock" - meaning that they have the USA, UK, HK, model device in Australia.

No flash in internet browsing sux, movie's and tv shows need to be converted from ( avi, mkv "divx" this is horrid ) my experience with using my ipad 1… Battery life is great, apps and games fun… but thats it. its a toy.
Wish i could return it and pick up a 10.1 Samsung Tab or windows 7 tablet
You should purchase avplayerhd from the app store, costs $4 but it's worth it. drag and drop movie player, no conversion necessary.
flash is horrible on ARM tablets anyways, resource hog!

VLC player that was available on app store (thankfully I have it) to play any movie format before it was canned from the Apple store thanks to one of the developers of the app being a tool, as for Flash is a poorly coded app that crashes constantly and makes machines run like crap, HTML5, look it up its the future even Microsoft have it in their Windows 7 phones and it kicks ass. As for the iPad being a toy, wish I could make a toy that out sold "all" previous Windows tablets errr sorry slates combined in 9 months on its first version….id be happy.

@sportsguy It's normal for online sales with limited quantity to NOT hold items in your cart until purchase is complete. One of the cons of online sales.
it's cheap compared to the normal Apple prices but compared to other Tablets, the price is about street price average.
take Acer iconia for example, its specs are as good as the ipad 2 and my friend was able to buy it under $500 when JB Hifi had it on special a little while back.
the iPad 2 is still more popular because it has better "touch and feel" factor. The GUI was deliberatly made so simple that even grandma can operate it.
my primary choice was largely based on the Apps that are available, the hardware specs came second and Price came third.
I found that I need both an ipad and an Android tablet. 1 isn't enough

Just got email saying they will offer refunds "due to issue with product". We were told the Ipads were "on transit" for a couple of weeks and then nothing, they are just dishonest and will never buy from them again.

AlwaysDirect Rep - here's a tip for you - people around here don't like broken promises. Next time you list something on OzBargain, you should try and have actual stock available, thus saving potential embarrasment and negative feedback.
