[Pre Order, PS4, XB1] Cyberpunk 2077 Collector's Edition $429 + Postage @ JB Hi-Fi

212

If this isn’t your thing, or you think collector’s editions are too expensive, then move on with your day.

Given the limited availability and being sold out elsewhere, this is a deal for some.

This sold out really quickly when it was first announced. Now they seem to have more stock.

Available on PS4 and Xbox.

Delivery only I believe, as click & collect isn't available.

This will become collectors garbage in no time.

    • +1

Agreed, wasted so much money on collectors edition games when I was younger that are now collecting dust…

      • -3

        Doesn't everything collect dust anyway?

        • Only things that don’t move or get moved. I guess collectors items just sit on the shelf anyway

          • @FireRunner: I own a lot of things and 9/10, things sit on the shelf for a long time before they're moved or used again. How often does someone who owns many things move or use the same thing daily or weekly? Just life.

      • I think you could potentially make the argument that it increases the immersion factor, but even then .. I think of much better ways to spend the extra $300.

        • Definitely increases the hole in your wallet, when you see how big the hole is, the immersion factor cannot be denied.

      • I was recently suckered into preordering the Modern Warfare special edition… Night Vision Goggles!!

  • Not really a deal

  • Ummmm….

Does this price include the console? /s

  • +3

Wtf has happened to the prices of collectors Editions of late?

  • +2

    That's quite a hefty price..

  • +4

Not a deal, this is the same price as it has always been. Just because it is in stock doesn't mean it's a deal lol

    • -1

True, but if out of stock everywhere and the reference price becomes $600 (or whatever) at ebay then this is a bargain.

Not worth the price, but still a 'bargain' by ozb rules.

  • +2

    Sad

  • +3

Yeah, nah… even at $299 this would be far too expensive for what you get! And it's RRP!

  • Wow, $430 for a game?!

    • +2

A game and some crazy crap

      • Legit thought this included the console and was wondering why it was receiving negs. Crazy!

  • +2

How is this crap worth more than a console

  • +3

    That's one expensive show bag.

  • +4

I used to spend anywhere from $100-$200 on collector editions regularly back in the day.

    But this price is ridiculous?

  • +3

If this is the standard price than it isn't really a deal just because there is a limited quantity.

  • +2

    No

    • Lmfao

Patches, pins, stickers, postcards, keychain - Urgh, who ACTUALLY wants these?

Steelbook, artbook, map, world compendium, diorama - some value. But not $429 worth. Dioramas usually look bleh anyway

  • -1

Is that the actual price of the collectors edition?! Christ NO.

  • RRP.

  • Lol at OP's edit

If this isn’t your thing, or you think collector’s editions are too expensive, then move on with your day

Sorry bud, but honestly…. what did you think was gonna happen when you posted a $429 (RRP) game on OzBARGAIN?!

    • -3

      Exactly this. Lol

  • +2

While I do love my CE's (the Horizon one is my favourite), this is not a deal. It belongs on the forums as a PSA.

  • Oof, looks like jb hi fi only recently changed their preorder policy. I don't know how I feel about it being processed upfront like that, holding ~$450 for 6-7 months is a bit long

  • +1

collectors use to be around 150-250 and now its double… LOOOL

    • Yeah, pretty damn pricey. I think I recall the witcher 3 CE being ~$250, and that came with a hand painted statue

  • Would be OK if it came with a special edition of the console for that price. I don't really understand where the deal is there. This is really more informational than anything. Its being sold full price (and then some if you ask me). OzBargain not OzCollector.
