Hmm so I bought 7 anticipating getting 14 at buy one get one free… for work cars. Should I have bought two at a time?
Yes… cancel all the orders.
When you put two into the cart it shows up as the price of 1
Damn it, won’t let me cancel. Contacted seller but I’ve tried cancelling on eBay before without success. Oh well.
@Bargearse: eBay plus free returns. Just put in 7 more orders haha. This is why I like amazon tho. They don’t charge until they ship, and until then you can cancel.
@ATangk: I would return them too for free.
If you ordered 7 in one sale you would have been charged for 6 as the second one was free. To do it the best way you would have to do 7 separate orders of 2 units to get total of 14. Then you would only pay for 7 in total.
@ozhunter68: For some reason I was thinking he was buying 7 individual orders haha. Does the BOGOF offer apply to multiple orders?
@Bargearse: If you can PM me with the order details, I might be able to help
cheers
@danilochan: Thanks to @danilochan who kindly sorted this out for me.
Here is 2 pretty good reviews at lygte-info
EDIT:
Wait a minute,
I got this charger from reader "Mostly Melbourne"
Never seen MM post any Baseus car charger deals on OzBargain for us! 🙉
Hey great link, that is a seriously detailed review!!
These people/person are passionate about LED's, chargers, batteries etc.
$15 postage is a bit steep for these little things
Because you are going to pay for the 2nd one unless you joint ebay plus.
Thanks, grabbed, Baseus 30W Dual USB Car Charger 2 for $12
For iPhone 11 pro max, is the 30W sufficient or should i go for the better 45W?
30W is sufficient, but you need to remember to select the version with one USBC and one USB A port.
Thanks for that :)
Also, be careful when leaving phones charging in the car, as usually people have them in full sunlight AND using GPS which absolutely boils these phones over. Best solution is to use a vent mounting phone holder and use the air con. Keeps the phone nice and cool whilst fast charging and using navigation at the same time
@ATangk: Please Note that you won't be getting the Max 45W output with either of these chargers when connected to a regular 12V car battery. You can get 9V @ 3A = 18W or 12V @ 3A = 36W depending which voltage your device needs.
To get more; 15V @ 3A = 45W or 20V @ 2.25A = 45W you will need to be connected to a 24V source ( if camping can easily connect 2 x 12V batteries in series if needed ).
@ozhunter68: I didn’t even mention 45W…
@ATangk: Din't mean to quote you. just mentioning in general for people expecting to get Max Watts in regular car.
iPhone 11 Pro Max can only draw up to 18W (9V/2A) from USB PD port. You should pick the model with USB PD (USB-C) port.
Thanks for that :)
iPhone only fast charges with the genuine apple USB C to lighting cable which is $25.
Or many quality MFI certified similar OEM cables as listed in "O O's" above's link.
Are these good quality?
I’ve bought cheap ones from Officeworks before and they actually melted from being poorly made.
I would say baseus is more an upmarket Chinese brand so it should be okay. If not you have eBay plus returns anyways.
I have the 45w baseus. Its got a very short metal end point which was caused a contact problem in the 12V socket in my boot. Its also quite short itself so could be a problem for deep sockets. I found it really temperamental. Bought 2. Both didn't work well on the boot 12v socket. both worked well with the socket in the dash. Tried modifying the socket itself by filing down some plastic bits at the bottom of it which helped, but was still quite temperamental with connection for some unknown reason. Even speed humps would sometimes cause disconnection and I would have to go to the boot, pull out the adaptor and plug it in again. Ended up using a different brand for the socket in the boot and there has been no issues.
would you mind sharing the brand you use?
Its a Blitzwolf BW-C10. Works perfectly. it is quite large as it has 4 ports. Fits well in the boot 12V deep socket. Would look quite ugly in a front shallow dash socket
Thank you :)
Does anyone know if the gravity phone holders that are part of this deal can hold a Samsung Galaxy S10 5G?
Can't find dimensions in the listing.
Thanks OP, bought 2!
I use the 45W one in my Honda Jazz. No issues with it, in fact, the quality of it surprised me. Even the packaging itself had a premium feel to it.
If someone buys two and only needs one I'll go halves. I need the 30W Usb C version. Pm me (I dont have eBay plus, doh)
45W out of Stock.
others still in stock.
Damn ź missed the 45W on fees by an hour or so. Oh well, 2 x 30W for $12 is still good value.
Thanks OP
45W back in stock!
Bought the 30W and it doesn't work in my car. I think it's too short for my socket.
Anyone else experience this and know if there's a way around it or am I SoL?
Don't forget to add 2 to cart to get second one for free ( made that mistake few days ago myself lol ).
These car chargers with digital display looks like some fun, but keep in mind can not get Max Watts with a 12V regular battery. Need 24V battery to do that, or if camping connect two 12V in series.
