  • Wish these had built in WiFi. Those pci wifi cards are a bit of a pain.

    • what is the issue with pci wifi card?

      or usb wifi to overcome?

      • -1

Choosing USB where PCIe could be used for a peripheral typically isn't a good idea because USB connections are flaky.

  • Are the cpus on this soldered in?
Was thinking about doing a CPU shuffle between computers.
    Thanks

Hp list the processors as upgradeable, so it seems they are not soldered.

      • Thanks very much for the reply

  • How many ram slot in total?

    • looks like 4 from pictures.

  • Why none of these system has any HDMI or DVI port?

    • DVI is dead and Display port is standard in professional settings.

    • +3

You can use a DP to HDMI cable or adaptor. Business systems normally come with DP.

  • Are the cases full sized, and do they have any limitations on gfx cards you can throw inside?

    • SFF is small form factor so you would be hard pressed to fit a full sized card

      • Ahh yeah. So maybe a low profile 1050ti?

    • Damn that's cheap! Almost purchased for the TV, but I don't have a display port input! HDMI only.
      Great deal though.

    • FYI: 2 cores, 4 threads.

I wonder what the highest spec CPU it can take?

      • It's easy enough to Google!

        Intel core i7-6700 Processor
        Intel core i5-6600 Processor
        Intel core i5-6500 Processor
        Intel core i3-6320 Processor
        Intel core i3-6300 Processor
        Intel core i3-6100 Processor
        Intel Pentium G4520 Processor
        Intel Pentium G4500 Processor
        Intel Pentium G4400 Processor
        Intel Celeron G3920 Processor
        Intel Celeron G3900 Processor

That i7 is still quite tasty.

  • Ah, dear old Unplug 'n drop…

  • The main problem with these branded desktops is the power supply.
The power supply is for that model range only, if it is faulty you are screwed.
There are 2 possibilities, or it will cost you a kidney or you will have to wait ages for it to be delivered.
It cannot be bought from MSY for example.
With a basic knowledge, you can build one yourself with a great specs and cheap
