½ Price Cadbury Dairy Milk Caramilk Block 180g $2.40 @ Woolworths

1750

Bargain?? Well only when considering the clearance resulted in $10+ blocks being sold online. Unsure if it's here to stay but at $2.40 I imagine a lot of people are going to be happy.

I don't know if it's just me, but it tastes like condensed milk that has been formed into blocks.

    • +2

      Delicious!

    • +1

Not surprising - if you heat condensed milk, you get caramel.
That is a much tastier sweet treat than this!

      • I remember dad telling us grandma use to do this with condense milk in a can.

        • I had a flat mate do it without opening the can - explosion of caramel all over the kitchen ceiling & walls! What a waste of tasty caramel.
Can buy the caramel premade in a can, often beside the condensed milk.

          • @INFIDEL:

I had a flat mate do it without opening the can

That's the best way to do it. You need to be careful so it doesn't explode!

    • +1

I used to eat condensed milk straight out of the can

      • +1

        Occasionally, I still do😉
So sweet & tasty. On special, cheaper than this Deal!

  • Of course my local woolies has no stock, should've checked stock online before going in.

  • Well only when considering the clearance resulted in $10+ blocks being sold online.

I don't see the relevance of a past event in the value of the new batched that's being flooded everywhere !

Anyway I think there won't be enough demand for it and in the future will be withdrawn .

Choceur 200G for $2.79 at Aldi, it's much more chocolate and taste for your hard earned money.

      • Yep. Cadbury chocolate is disgustingly sweet. XXXX of chocolate IMO.

  • +1

2 of my local stores were showing in-stock online but none in store.

    • Plenty of stock now appearing at stores near me in Brisbane.

  • +3

News Ltd / Cadbury hype worked.
Bought 1 for $1.95 (with discounted egift card from eBay Deal), tried, gave away.
For me it turned out just to be sugary hype :-(

  • +1

I jumped in on the hype. It is really delicious. I wouldn't buy it at RRP though. Had to go to 3 stores though to find it as stock levels online are 2 hours behind.

What so really crave for is Flake Snowflake which keeps getting discontinued and comes back every few years

  • +1

    None in SA as usual.

Went to 2 stores in Adelaide before I decided to check online, it's unavailable anywhere in SA.

I am now believing this chocolate is a myth and anyone claiming they have it, or have bought it is just a part of the conspiracy theory to make me believe it exists.

    • My local (3rd store I visited) had boxes of the stuff in the specials section. Hundreds of them

      • Which store ?

    • +1

Heaps at Mount Barker Woolworths. I didn't think much of it to be honest.

      • Too far, I live at Modbury, but Parabanks suppose to have them in stock, will call in tomorrow.

  • +3

The colour is the only unique thing about it. I reckon if you blind tasted this with a range of white chocolates you'd struggle to pick it. Bought a pile of this last time on nostalgia then FOMO. In reality it's pretty average.

Try one of these milk drinks if you want the caramel flavour a chocolate should aspire to be.

  • Thornleigh Woolies didn’t have them out on display this morning, though they were in stock. A staff member went out the back to get them. I was told they had 500 blocks.

  • Not available in wa around 6150

  • My local refused to bring them out as not released until wednesday.

  • Stupid question - do they stock this at Coles? And did they last time?

    • Saw in Coles today @$4.80

  • Am I missing something? What's so special about this block of cadbury?

    • +3

      Hype mostly

    • Best tasting chocolate on the market. And limited edition. Nothing like it - tastes like the best caramel milkshake you ever could imagine

      • +1

sounds like you had an orgasm :)

  • Anyone know if they are in stock anywhere around Carnegie, Chadstone, oakleigh areas? Thank you

    • +1

Carnegie has it. Bought some there today (well yesterday - sorry, just saw your comment now).

NOt sure how factual this is but I assume with my past knowledge it might not be far from the truth.

GOod read if it can be verified semi accurate.

I'm trying to avoid these foods >.> CADBURY is one of them…

    • +3

      Nobody cares tho.

    • Cadbury is owned by Mondelez International

  • Online my local showed in stock, didn't find anything on the shelf (top one).. after having a second look I managed to find 2 more blocks and grab them. Never tried this before.

  • People are buying 100+ blocks of this it's insane! The caramilk kitkat has been out for ages and nobody cares…

  • Got one at my local store last night. I like it.

  • +1

FYI the Cadbury logo is a graphical representation of the slogan from the 1980s "A Glass and a Half of Full Cream Dairy Milk in every 200 gram Block" The big block was originally 200 grams before it got increased to 250 grams plus before the plastic wrapper the chocolate was originally in aluminium foil covered by a paper wrapper, oh dear now I am showing my age. • Bought 2 cartons this morning. Thanks OP

  • Coles Middle Camberwell (VIC) is selling the 170gm Popcorn limited edition ones for $1 each. Not sure if it is national. I bought 5 blocks for myself. I like the taste (as I like the saltiness and texture of the popcorn with the sweetness of the chocolate), My wife didn't like it as much so MORE FOR ME!. :-)

  • not available at Mascot, NSW

  • Not available in Town Hall Sydney.

  • There was adequate stock at Woolies Southern Cross despite not listed on site.. at lunch a few hours ago at least.

  • +1

Produced in China. Great. And more than 50% sugar. No wonder people are going crazy over it - it's practically like legal crack cocaine.

    • -2

Just noticed this too. Love Caramilk but I won’t be touching it now it’s made in China.

    • +2

Definitely made in Australia according to the wrapper of the one I picked up today. Woolworths website must be wrong.

      • +1

Yep I was wrong I just went into my local and looked at the wrapper too and it says Australia.

        • Phew! What a relief. Yes, the website must be wrong. Now, if we could only do something about that crack, I mean sugar content…

  • -1

Says on there Facebook it’s coming back ?
    https://m.facebook.com/CadburyDairyMilkAustralia/
So everyone just wasting there time finding one

  • Looks like it just got released today in WA from the look of woolies stock

  • Last years caramilk blocks were 190g. 180g now. Outrageous!

  • got mine yesterday afternoon yummy

  • Hoping to try this tomorrow but all my local stores in Perth have no stock 😐
