Layman's review: got one recently, they're pretty good for convenience and the suction power has yet to be properly challenged. Having said that, got a Kmart plug-in vacuum cleaner earlier this year for less than a hundred which I'd say has much stronger suction but I'm no vacuum expert and comparing cordless to corded vacuums is probably apples and oranges.
That's always going to be the case with corded vs cordless. Take hammer drills for example - you can get a really powerful corded hammer drill for $100 - but if you spent that $100 on a cordless drill, it'd be miles weaker.
Is v10 worth the extra money?
After reading some reviews, I felt if not buying thr 8, then it’s better to skip v10 and move directly to v11 considering the battery backup.
These are fine but I'd recommend people check out the other variants as Dyson have some stiff competition now.
Others come with removable batteries, longer runtimes, etc.
can you please give us a few examples
I haven't got one, but I really like the reviews I've seen of the Shark vacuums. I believe they're the same company that make the nutrininja blenders.

Also used the LG at JB and found it to be really nicely balanced and quiet. Dyson's are excellent, but there are other options out there worth considering.
Is this good for hardwood floors?
worth?
