    I'm late to the party. But did anyone get the following errors: I'm at the checkout page and above the item it says: "To buy a gift card, you need an eBay and PayPal account." in red. When I enter the discount code it says "Looks like that's the wrong code. Please double-check and try again.". Anyone had these issues and know what to do?

      Make sure your registration address is listed as somewhere in the UK, but add your primary delivery address as an Aussie address.

      It's under Account -> Addresses.

      Strange as I could never get this to work the last few times these promos ran but I logged into an old UK eBay account I made Last time and it worked this time for me (well I could only get 3 gift cards only for some reason)
      If it doesn’t work now save the details you created the account with for next time and it will prob work… very strange yes

    I thought it worked for me but it failed at payment.

    Opened a fresh ebay UK account with different email address, UK address and OZ delivery address. Coupon rejected until I changed the phone number to my OZ one.

    Then Paypal sent Identifier text to me (twice). Tried again and discount code worked but failed at Paypal payment - now greyed out. Credit card appeared to work but received email that it failed.

    Tried calling Paypal to unblock but now outside hours. Any solution?

    Update: I just tried with only $250 value as suggested above - first Paypal then credit card. Same result.

      i freaked out as one order was like that but it was actually in my mail. should get it tomorrow morning. im still waiting on one more set to come through. yesterday it took half a day… came in around 2am.. and i ordered around 1-2pm

    Seemed to work for me in terms of signing up eBay UK account, putting in a UK address, then when I went to buy it said only delivers to Aussie so need to update that, and then I paid using my regular PayPal AU account. I've been charged the $907.72 for $1000 worth of eBay AU gift cards according to PayPal so let's see if they come through..

        You'd need 2 accounts for that..

        For the max discount on ebay cards on a single account, buy 2x $200 + 1x $100 in one transaction, should be about $408.

        Then buy a $200 and a $50, (or a $150 & $100), which should cost about $204.

        5 card max… $750 worth of cards for about $612.. 18.6% discount.

    1) At checkout, select pay with paypal then login.
    2) If you are getting paypal error (e.g. can't process), then click 'go to basket' on top right hand sid of the page.
    3) Repeat Step (1) like 10 times, eventually it worked for me.

    Just worked for me. I bought 500 bucks worth of ebay merry Christmas cards (200 X2, Plus a 100) for 407.72

    I have an old uk account, worked fine.

    I've no idea why it didn't work first go, kept saying check details, changed out the cards to the ones above, and used my oz PayPal account to pay.

    Seemed good receipt just sent.

    Had to use my oz phone number without international code.

    Tried Paypal, doesn't work.
    Tried different credit cards, doesn't work. Thought it went through only for an email to come through saying that I need to resend the payment.

      Just worked for me. Check you put voucher code in BEFORE you choose payment method. Make sure your total purchase is 500 bucks or less.

        Dude, it just doesn't work for certain people.

        The problem isn't the code. The problem is that only Paypal is accepted & for certain people, there seems to be no way to successfully use Paypal to pay for the cards.

        yes not sure why but they worked for me, i got 2 paypal and 2 ebay accounts, the first one worked for the first time this morning and the second one, i got everything right but when i hit confirm button, they came up with an error " to protect the seller or something". The first Paypal account , i called Paypal to unlock it.

    I was one of those who got locked out after making a second account, called PayPal, told nothing was wrong and must be a vendor issue, on the first day.
    But I’ve just tried again now, nothing different, and it’s seemingly gone through! (Just got the email saying the codes will be sent out in next few hours).
    So for anyone who scored the original deal, but couldn’t repeat it, try again now :)

    Getting the run around after calling paypal to verify my account/security check - they're saying its a problem on the sellers end and they can't help. I don't really believe it since others have been able to get through

    My physical gift card payments have always gone through without issues, the digital gift card ones seem to be having problems.

    I called Paypal and they said they can bypass their internal security and my transaction went through. But on Ebay it's showing as payment pending and there's no history of it in my Paypal account.

    My partner ordered 2pm yesterday. New ebayUK with old PayPal. Payment went through, feedback left just no emailed giftcards.

    She's just called and was told activation error with Paypal GC. They may take 24-48hrs turnaround time to reissue but rep told me it'll come.

    Code has expired as of 9:00am local time (midnight UK time). Whoever set the expiry time for this deal forgot to allow for daylight savings in the UK!
