It's pretty good is all I can say. Doesn't compact as much as the other potting mixes I bought in the past. Been buying it for over two years now. They have since reduced the volume. Used to be 25 or 27L, now it's just 22.
+1
I like ALDI's but Woolies give me 25 L for $3 (when on sale)
(altho I'm waiting got ALDI to open near me)
Not a Deal, IMO.Is the Woolies stuff red tick? Haven't seen many red tick premium mixes at this price before, so I'm giving it a +.
woolies one for $3 after half price sale is with black ticks, thats normal potting mix. it doesnt have any fertilizers in it.
Does anyone know if this is any good ?
How do you evaluate dirt for quality?
See how your plants grow in it
And, maybe, whether others do?some is dirt and some is bark and junk
red tick is better
"Good" depends on what you're putting in pots. Specialist mixes are best but expensive. Some natives don't like particular fertilizers, some plants like loose coarse free-draining mixes, many plants appreciate the addition of water crystals or wetting agent, trace elements included in some premium mixes are a bonus. This mix is better than the average stuff and is, cough, dirt cheap.
My plants like it. Ymmv
Of course they do… I just stocked up on Amgrow red tick mix from Stratco @ $8.99 for 36L. Used to use Osmocote Premium Plus expensive shit from Bunnings, but had a bad run of plant deaths with the last few bags I've used.
Am wondering can anyone tell me can I use it for planting vegetables?
In pots? Yes. Regular feeds of liquid fertiliser and/or liquid seaweed will help veges in pots. Follow instructions.
Needs more dog.
