Price in title please, I'd also be curious to know what the usual price is.

    • You can click the camelcamelcamel link for price history. It seems historically best price and usually hovers around $170

      • About 3 years it was just over $100 from Target. It doesnt seem to happen anymore though. I've been using this cooker ever since and it still works great.

        • I should say historically best price on amazon then haha.

    • and what the postage is.

Amazon has much better cashback rate tho at 8% from SB. Would almost be enough to avoid wasting 10% off eBay gift cards.

      • Cashback is good but is warranty covered by Amazon? I have never bought appliances from Amazon as I dont know if manufacturers warranty is covered.

        • Warranty is always covered, it’s basic ACL stuff.

  • normally $198 at good guys. clearance model:

Got one last time. It's fantastic.

    These are great.

Power for this latest model is actually 1300W so it's a lot better at frying and gets to pressure quicker.

Would these cook rice well, like a Tiger?

    • +2

Yes it does. Even brown rice gets cooked well without soaking

      • What's the minimum number of cups you need to cook?

        • +1

There are lines for 1 cup as well but I cook at least for 4 cups otherwise its s waste of electricity in my opinion
Just use plastic containers to make small portions and keep in the freezer. That's what I do

          • @kimyongjeon: I own this 1300watt model and trying to work out if it's faulty - slow. It takes apx 30 minutes to cook 2 cups of rice. I will clock it today to be certain. But wondering is yours similar. Thanks

            • +1

@CheepAsChips: When it has reached certain pressure it starts cooking which takes about 15 minutes as showned on small display. To save cooking time I add boiling hot water from the beginning. I never cooked 2 cups before I usually add 8 cups. Maybe it takes about 30 minutes for me too but I let it cool down after cooking so I normally spend about an hour for whole process which I dont mind.

              • @kimyongjeon: When cooking is finished, I also allow 5 min to settle, then use spoon to turn the rice allowing another 5 minutes to settle (I prob should allow 10min). Before cooking also rinse rice well three or four times. Will clock the heatup time shortly. Thanks

              • @kimyongjeon: Clocked: 2 cups rice & 2 cups water ( 1 cup = 250ml ) at room temperature.
Took 16m45s to heat then began rice cooking for 14 minutes. Did not rinse rice for the test, so measurements were exact.

How's this compare to the popular Breville fast slow pro?

  • Damn I love pressure cookers. Pulled pork ready in an hour.
