How much is this on Alibaba without the logo?

  • +1

    Only white though?

    • yes, it's actually more of a light beige if you see it in person

        lmao so many negs

      • Thats a different jacket, and not on special lmao

      • Once you go BLACC you never go BACK!!!

    • Yep.. on Opera show he said his clothes are only for whites.. so the middle finger also figures for me.

      • This is my first ever comment on OzBargain and I am going to use it to tell you that this is an old urban legend nothing even remotely close to this ever actually happened in real life.

    • Well the actual color is "Alpaca"

  • +7

Worth reading comments from previous deal , quality pretty average!

    • +18

That's par for the course for Tommy Hilfiger garments. It literally is just paying premium for the blue and red label.

  • +51

Bought from the last deal. Very poor quality, threads showing even before packaging was removed. Colour duller in real compared to pic. Hated it, returned.

    Ymmv.

    • Thankyou!

    • Appreciate the heads up

    • +1

why does this have pos votes then? I don't get it. I'll just buy my clothes from kmart if I want new clothes.

      • +1

        Gotta have the logo 💸💸

    • +1

I bought one from last deal, and thought the quality was pretty good. Well stitched, and good material. I’ve worn it a few times.A decent bit of kit IMO. Basically a shell, but as a “Yacht Jacket” I’m guessing the requirement is that it keeps the wind and spray off you. I’m happy with mine. 👍🏼

      • I’ve got the black version and concur with your comments.

    • Thanks!

These actually waterproof? Need a new fishing jacket.

    • Nope, bought from the last deal thinking it would keep water out. 5 minutes under rain and I'm completely wet.

I left mine in the freezer and got hard.

Had one, but sold it, fabric too plasticky and makes a lot of noise when rubbing against itself

    • +34

Why are you wearing it while having a tug?

      • waterproof. save money on tp.

    • +1

but did you sell it for a profit?

      • break even, got it when Myer had the 20% discount code going on. Got it for around 160ish on sale and sold for 150

    • +1

      George, what's that swishing sound….

  • +3

Don't forget to grab a matching bumbag to complete the look.

  • +10

"Outer: 100% Nylon; Lining: 100% Polyester"

    I'll pass.

  • +5

I don't mind mine, I think the quality is decent for the price (wouldn't pay RRP). But the hood has no cord and blows off in light wind. Good luck using it in rain on a yacht!

  • +7

If anyone travels to USA, and likes these type of clothes, you can possibly get it much cheaper from large outlets there.
Friend of mine went, I think he did his shopping in somewhere neat Lad Vegas . Not sure though.
Anyway, he came back with a massive amount of clothing including Tommy Hilfiger. He gifted me some :) .
The way he said he got it all so cheap.
    1) He went to either factory outlet, or some massive warehouse outlet.
    2) He bought the stock which was 'end of season' (That's USA seasons though, so perfect timing for here if coming back to Aus with it all) .
    3) Once he spent, I think it was $1,000, they had an extra discount they add on top (he might have negotiated this with the outlet, or it might be an automatic discount they have for bulk purchases).
He gave me mostly Tommy Hilfinger (didn't try stuff on, then found it didn't fit him lol). But he also got quite alot of Ralph Laruen clothes in USA. Im not sure the exact pricing, but the prices he quoted for both brands was incredibly low. I think a really nice Tommy Hilfinger T-shirt was only like $15-$20 .
He just likes good quality clothes, they last longer. But apparently, if you go to USA, he said people look at you in a different way, if you have the Ralph Lauren horse on your shirt. Kind of status or class, thing .

    • He would have gone to the Premium outlets.

    • +2

Yeah there was/is 2 outlets near Vegas when I went about 8 years ago. Plenty of bargains to be had especially when the dollar was parity back then.

I grabbed a harrington Polo Ralph Lauren jacket for about $40. Only worn it a couple of times since but was a definite bargain

    • We had some good luck at Century21 in NYC when we were there.

    • +2

With TH and RL they both have specific outlet only clothing lines that they sell ONLY at outlets. They are not the same quality as the stuff in the shops. You need to watch the labels to know which ones are outlet only.
That being said both those brands are very cheap in the US and do not have the same amount of prestige they appear to have in Australia.

    • +1

About 5 years ago I went to one of these outlets in Orange County (near Disneyland) and got the then current version of this jacket in blue for $80USD. I remember seeing Myer selling them years later for around $270AUD.
Also bought some TH chinos for $30USD and there were polos for $20USD. Definitely worth a look if happen to be nearby.

    • Picked one up in Ogdenville.

  • +7

Got two for $113 delivered. Used VIP member and WELCOME20 coupon.

  • +2

Same jackets were $79 today in TH outlet in DFO Moorabbin but limited sizes. There were many XXL available.

  • +7

Hideous jacket, only worn by lads

    • +4

Yep I was going to buy it until I saw the large Hilfiger around the back of the collar. I feel with designer brands the branding should be more subtle.

  • +3

It was for $79 at DFO Homebush yesterday

  • +2

Puts it on, whats that swooshing sound?

  • Maybe i am missing something..
    I am buying 2
    1 xl black
    1 xxl blue

But total price is still showing as 339..

Any codes that i should enter?

    • +1

      White only

      • +1

Oh ok. I thought also for different colours.

        Thanks mate

  • Bought 2, if I don't like it I'll give the second as a present as well 😁
    Bargain at $113 for 2.

  • +2

Thank youuu, bought this one for my dad https://au.tommy.com/essential-hooded-jacket-black-iris-dm0d… and the sailing one for mum. Total came down to $127.15, with all discount and ‘welcome20’ included

  • +1

Highly recommend this jacket. Mine has been great over the winter. Stylish enough for work as well.
Washes easily and is great quality

    • How thick are these jackets?

      • You wouldn't wear it in the snow they aren't padded or thick but warm enough and comfortable enough for Sydney winter at least. Kept me dry when it rained and warm when it was cold

        • +1

          Sydney winter

That's got to be a joke.

        • thankyou

    • Wear it over a thermal and it works well against cold, wind and at least light rain.

  • +1

Do they have a post-90's edition?

    • No you have to wear this with your popped collar ralph lauren polo shirt or you'll be arrested.

  • Thanks op split with a friend $113 what a deal

  • Thanks OP & comments. Purchase 2x for $113.20 + 7% Cashback.
Had my eye on this jacket for a while, so this price makes it very nice!

    Cheers!!

  • Anyone want to buy one with me in Adelaide?

    • +1

I bought two M size. In Adelaide would like to share one if u r interested

  • elasticized bottom of the jacket kills it. That's a very 90s styling

  • I have the navy one. It’s not a bad jacket isn’t worth full price imo

  • I bought a shirt with this brand paying premium price but get Chinese quality. Also I am not sure about the size. In the photo the man is 1.86cm with M size jacket. I am 172cm and need a small size jacket? I normally wear M size..So what size I need to choose? This brand has top price tag and bottom quality. No deal.
