[QLD] 20% off Parking @ Brisbane Airport

300
20GSP

Received an email In my inbox saying 20% discount. Doesn’t say when it expires. Shame that it came after I already booked mine with the 12% discount a few weeks ago. Bon voyage !

Even if you booked at 12% off you might find that was cheaper than now, no idea why but putting the 20% code in comes up $2 more expensive than I paid with the 12% code last month for the same periods.

  • Only Valet left for the period I need. Can I confirm that in peak period all Valet parking will be most likely in open air?

    • Not likely but possible. The possibility of it is a big turn off for potential storm damage when it’s cheaper just to park yourself undercover anyway.

      • That's the thing … Valet at times is cheaper than long term car park … which doesn't guarantee to be undercover but at least you can try. Late last year I got which was probably the last spot in the undercover and saw a lot of cars just went out and parked outside.

        • I gave up trying with the on-site undercover parking as the last two times it took me 30-40 mins to get a spot. Lots outside but it was so full inside people were parked up on the ends in the tow away area. Stuck with the Airpark under shade sail ever since.

          • @Pobman: Good idea … I guess under shade is better than risking to be in open air … and cheaper too.

            • @peuwayaqdq: Hail can shred those sails pretty easily and still get your car. We’ve had two cars totalled in Brisbane hail and so I wouldn’t leave our car under a shade sail if we were away.

              • @modsec802: That's true. Do you have any tips when traveling in peak period? Actually I just realised last year that booking long term car park doesn't guarantee to be under cover.

                • @peuwayaqdq: Well so far so lucky with the sails, they look pretty thick compared with the cheapo homes ones. At least it’s a guarantee ‘undercover’… ironically it’s always been easy parking over at Domestic undercover, I guess you could park there and bus over,

                  • @Pobman: Uhm … another option that I haven't considered so far. Does the bus run on schedule? Free or at cost?

                    • @peuwayaqdq: Bus is free, and more common that that AirPark bus as its every 10 mins most of the day.

    • Very possible - we had the car come back filthy (admittedly it wasn't exactly superclean when we dropped it off) after one trip where I'd heard there'd been a dust storm through while we were away.

Personally can't see the point when the Premium's pretty much right at the end of the bridge anyway.

  • expect to get reamed ($$) if you arrive too early or leave late.

Just book a bit longer to cater for early arrival or late departure. They charge in 24 hour blocks

Great - booked for Christmas - look at 7 days for Parklong and 10 days for Airpark (cheaper than 4.xx/5 days) for me

    Thanks OP.

The 20% off code turned out to be only $5 cheaper in total for the 3 weeks park long that I booked last month with the 12% off code.

    Will not rebook this time.

Just booked a couple of stays in Parklong. If anyone is looking at Parkvalet, rather than selecting it directly, it looks cheaper to select the Parklong option then on the next page they are offering Parkvalet for an extra $5 total.

    • The same trick works for AirPark/ParkLong too - I chose AirPark and then was offered an upgrade to ParkLong for an extra $5 :)

Maybe it works for all parking 'tiers'?

        This just saved me $47…

ParkLong was $109 for 5 days parking, AirPark was $57. Clicked on AirPark and ParkLong was offered for $5 more ($62!), massive saving. Nice.

        • How did this offer pop up? Do you remember which screen or where you saw the offer?

          Any helpful steps appreciated.

          • @pgj: It doesn't always appear.

Log in first. Get to the screen where you can choose between ParkLong, ParkValet, Airpark Everyday, etc.
Click the select button on one of them, and sometimes the next page will offer you an upgrade to the next level at a reduced rate.

I clicked on AirPark Everyday and was offered ParkLong for an extra $5 which is a steal.
Today the best deal I could get was an upgrade from Airpark Undercover to ParkLong for $5 which was a saving of $18 (on an original $100 ParkLong booking)… so still not too bad.

        • Tried this with every option and Park Valet ended up being $10 extra when I selected Parklong. Thanks

  • doesn't work, comes up at full price vs automatic 15% off :/

  • Thanks, I used it today for booking in long stay car park.

  • Does not seem to be working for me, is it valid for all periods? Looking at Dec 23 - 29.

Also when does the upgrade trick appear when booking as mentioned a few comment above by @Helmutson

    • Yeah think it's expired
