The same deals are back again. More options to consider for those looking for buying tents in addition to the Wanderer Carnarvon Dome Tents.

Any idea if it's different better or worse?
Aldi’s not discounting the way used to anymore for this very reason. People started waiting for the discounts instead of scooping upon the start of the sale. This was hurting their sales and profit margins. Now they prefer to send stock back and move stock around to other stores.
They moved it around for years, mainly expensive stuff as they dont always get the allocating right:)
I often buy it and check again 4+ weeks later and if discounted, buy again and return the original.
I do like to make the trip out to Less affluent suburbs, as the aldi special buy thing is very much a middle class thing. I got the 19 bar espresso machine which retailed for $299 at aldi and sold out quickly (same day) in most stores, for $150 on clearance at Inala (Qld)
Takeaway message: Inala (QLD) = Less Affluent.
It isn't but I love Inala. Perhaps most interesting place in Brisbane.
@Thatbargainhunter: I have no idea, i just like using Google Maps at every opportunity.
I hope that Hatchet is sharper than one they sold a few months back that was about as sharp as a butter knife.
If only there was a way to make things that aren't sharp sharp.
You think I did not try it? I am not talking about it being a bit blunt, I am talking about it being completely buggered. It would take an insanely long time to hand sharpen the large curve (in place of the edge it should have) out of the high carbon steel that it is made out of.
You would need a powered sander to make any real inroads, which is not worth the effort when you can go and buy a sharp hatchet from Bunnings for the same price.I sharpened mine fine with a lansky puck and it didn't take too long
@suburbanmale: Then yours would have of been in far better shape from the start than the one I ended up with.
To those that want the tents the instant up 6 is $99 at some stores on clearance
As ther now branded Roman not adventureridgeA link or store name and location will be helpful, thanks!
Aldi def getting more expensive with their crap, but maybe i'm just a hyper-price-sensitive OB professional.
Oh God save us all they're currently doing Barbi.
I'm tempted by the battery, though just not sure if 38ah will cut the mustard
Depends on what you plan to power with it :-)
Only as a basic charger for devices while camping. My last (now dead) battery was 100ah but was old and I'm not sure on its condition. I emptied it once or twice even with solar. For $99 it is probably a good investment, even just for short trips in the smaller form.
If you previously used and still have a battery box it could be good replacement, for small power needs. But i'm no expert.
A google search shows Aldi sold this a couple years ago. Appears in a post on a Pajero Club4x4 forum.
Anyone had any experience with the 1000W airless paint sprayer advertised in the same catalogue?
That's what I'd like to know too
Has anyone bought this and can provide a general review? Are they decent quality?
Thinking if picking up the 4 man tent at my local store (Labrador. Qld). Need something that could handle a week in the sun (ideally for a few trips!)
Looks like a very different tent to the one 6 months ago.
Also the tents didn’t sell very well last time around - The 6 person tent ended up being sold for $99 at two VIC stores 8-10 weeks later. Might be worth holding off unless you are desperate for one.
