Tempting… Heard these are great cans by half of the reviewers, other half say they are too sibilant so on the edge rn :(

  This is just a guess, but it could be related to listening volume as well as individual hearing preferences.
  I listen to headphones at as low volume as possible, since I know I may end up turning it up slightly depending on how long I am listening for.
  This is referred to as ‘mouse fart’ volume (60-70dBA) and I can deal with a little sibilance / brightness as long as the rest of the frequency response is relatively neutral (like with the DT 1990 Pro).
  
  When you turn it up a lot more, I think these peaks in the treble can become harsh and fatiguing, and in extreme cases (deafening levels) may damage your hearing.
