  • @jianw Out of those coffee beans that are offered which one would offer a sweet strong expresso taste. We normally have cappuccino's.

    • Would give Seasonal Espresso from Market Lane Coffee a go! Thanks for this, we'll include strength guides to help buyers like yourself.

Either business is not going well or it's uncapped.

Edit: mods fixed title and description.

    • Thanks for the input. We are new to the scene and learning. The promo is capped, cheers!

their beans are around 50 a kilo. I live in Melbourne and buy locally roasted beans for 30ish a kilo.
Wouldn't be surprised if their code expires before it's applied 100 times.

    • What are some of the places? Rather interested. Thanks.

yeah sure, last place we went to little gecko was Ethiopia Sidamo (Single Origin Fair Trade Organic) for 36.00/KG. Bit more than we usually spend but thought we'd splurge.

        • Thanks for that, will get some next time I head to city.

@bluesky: If you're going to the city, I'd recommend Merloat Vic Market. The link is to a bean grown in Queensland which is interesting, but they also have your standard fare. We're venturing into 43 a kilo here, but it is also free shipping with over $39 spend all the time. And they roast daily which is honestly the biggest point of difference when it comes to coffee flavour I reckon. If it's been (or bean, if you will) sitting for months after roast you may as well buy it from Costco for I think it's $18 a kilo. I'm not a big coffee snob, but I can vouch for a tangible difference with recently roasted beans

@sklzthtklz: Appreciate the extra info. Please keep your suggestions coming :-) I will try them out one by one, and am quite interested in this Qld's one.

I can definitely tell the difference between freshly roasted beans with non-freshly roasted ones. But I still mix it up with supermarket beans, since I drink lots of coffees. And a few of those times in the day are just ritualistic, for the coffee hits, while my mind is pre-occupied with other stuff, like work.

Then, when relaxing, and I can devote my full attention to the flavour and taste, I like the better stuff. Being back and forth exposed to the not-so-good with the good, also makes me appreciate the fine stuff a lot more. And keeps my cost down a bit :-)

        • Thanks here too, I'll be trying the Little Gecko

  • Thanks OP
