I couldn't get a definite answer on my search to whether you can connect to the plug from anywhere like, overseas or data network to your router?

I have a bunch of these - honestly i no longer reccomend them.
They do drop out occasionally and need to be unplugged/replugged to reboot. They are also bulky and cramp up power strips.
Niehter a deal breaker, but now you can get cheap equivalents from officeworks/bunnings under the 'brilliant' brand - which are better in both respects. Ive never had a single connection drop out with the brilliant.

IMO this model is behind the times.
