      Yes, but i really wanted the 512 but t there was no good deal at the time

        Fair enough. There are a few benefits to a smaller/cheaper card as memory cards do get lost/stolen/corrupted or give up the ghost and hence can lose money/data.

        There probably are use cases where a 512 card is needed/beneficial, but not really needed for most.
