    Like LAST TIME….

    A TOTAL waste of TIME…

    20 units SOLD!!!

    • +1

actually 12 only if you look at when the last 20 were sold. Only 12 was today. Shouldn't this be reported to ACCC as misleading advertisement?

  • +1

Wow, the 11am HP lego set code was posted on eBay site, then product was out of stock instantly. 20 sold, not 200??

  • Probably would have missed it anyway, but the eBay deals page doesn't show anything on mobile ( had to switch to desktop version to see the actual item and code).

I was sat here refreshing this page. Which was obviously pointless with things in this quantity.

  • +3

Of the 20 it says sold only 10 of them are after 11AM today, 2 before 11AM and the rest on another date completely :D

  • +1

    20 sold !

  • What was the link?
I was refreshing https://www.ebay.com.au/deals since 10:58 but it never even showed anything.
Didn't want the Lego, but wanted to check how it works.

    Pointless bot races :(

    • +1

i did the same. It only showed up at 11:02 and then it was sold out. Sold 12 units today and not 200.

    • Yep, link didnt show up for me till 11:02

  • This is worse than the earbuds saga, and false quantities. Not only that, it only appeared as a deal at 11:02 for me… What hope is there for later deals…

  • Thanks! got 1 of the legos

  • +1

Purchase history shows only ten sold.
9 in 16 seconds, then one at 29 seconds.

    https://offer.ebay.com.au/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewBidsLogin&ite…

So why does page say 20 sold?

    • the listing is an old one and 10 had sold prior to the deal goin live.

      • D'oh!! I could see that :-)
So where did the 200 number come from?

    • It included sales since 20 Aug

    • Listing had 10 sales before 11am

  • +1

I got one of the legos. at 11:00:10

    • +1

did you see the link from the deal page at 11? or you have known which listing it would be?

      • I got one from correctly guessing the listing

  • +4

If you count the number of Quiddich sets sold AFTER 11.00am it was only 10. For the whole of Australia, ten!

I'm not even purchasing, but this promo should realistically be renamed a competition for those with the quickest computer.

    • And the quickest internet speeds 😜

  • +1

lol @ lego, i thought it was pretty crazy to have 200 sold out within 1 min, seems like there is only 20 available

  • it didnt happen

  • +1

    well that's a load of shit… 200 HP Lego's my ass…
    It was only 10
And by the time the link showed it was too late.

  • So given this, who knows the 400 Google hub might in reality be only 20 up for sale..

    • +2

that's what makes this so exciting

      • +1

        The suspense is killing me

    • me thinks 4

  • somebody chat with ebay support and tell them about the mistake

  • Evanesco !

  • Google Home 400 Units (ebay edit 40)

    • 2

    • Or 4!

      • Or 0! 🤔

        • +1

And for Bose SoundSport Free Wireless Headphones. Only 1/2

  • 7 Stock available under the offer is strictly limited and is only available with participating sellers. The following quantities will be available:
sounds like it time to call in the legal dogs of war

  • +5

    waves Lego wand
    EXPECTO-BE-DISAPPOINTED!
    Lightning cracks
Harry Potter eBay deal sells out in 10 seconds

  • It's a ploy to get all the ozbargainers to give up so there will be less competition when the real deals (read Google Home & Bose) comes around.

  • +3

slowest 50 minutes of my life

  • +1

the spotlight deal did not changed to the new item till after the item sold out

if this is the way things are going to go
then this gonna be a shit waste of time

    • It’s like going through a game show showcase, with the player who just bombed out… “here’s what you could have won!”

Except, of course, you might have a chance of winning on a game show…

  • +11

Negging the deal as the no.of units advertised 200 vs the actual listed 20 for - LEGO 75956 Harry Potter Quidditch Match

    • +1

and only 10 after the sale started @ 11!

    • It was actually 10 and I wouldnt neg the deal. Some people got it, its eBay's fault. Technically they provided the deal but LIED about the quantity.. Typical for eBay.

Read here.. It is ebay's fault not the poster

      • +1

Does it matter who's fault it is?

      • +2

Valid neg, he os neg the deal not OP

      • +3

This is an eBay deal. He is negging eBay.

      • +4

Nothing to do with the Original poster mate, negged the deal based on ebay dodgy advertisement practice

  • DDSS

  • Well someone stuffed up that last one!

  • ebay is such a broken company. they failed again

  • Why is there ALWAYS a problem somewhere in these deals with eBay. I'm not complaining because I've generally got in on the deals I've wanted to but seriously! eBay are a massive company! Why can't they get the little things right like quantities, availability, stock, descriptions urgghh…

    • Most likely because the listing is amended manually by each seller

  • Kind of feels like gambling. Pay money for a chance to nab a deal.

Either way it's a win win. Do I need anything listed, nope. Do I want, yes. So if I don't, that's money saved.

    • you didn't factor in waste of your time

which you can never get back

      • +1

Are you thinking what I'm thinking?

  • +10

Here’s what I’ve been able to see as the likely sellers (based on them being eBay Plus and the sell price listed in the finder article)

    12 pm Google Home Hub
1 pm Bianca Reid 550GSM 100% Turkish Cotton Towel Sets
2 pm Bose SoundSport Free Wireless Headphones - Triple Black ?
    3 pm Anolon Endurance+ Open Chef's Pan 28cm/5.7L ?
4 pm Nerf Mega - Megalodon Blaster inc 20 Mega Darts ?
5 pm 40 Nespresso Compatible Coffee and Chocolate Pods
6 pm Oral B Pro 2 Cross Action Electric Toothbrush Black

    • +4

      Shhhhhhhh we need a chance

    • +10

Hey Google, how do I delete someone else's post on OzBargain

      • only problem with the home hub they have 4 listings for it at the same price . which one to go for?

        • Maybe it's 100 per listing? Hence 400 total

          • +2

@xers: Quick, someone find the 19 other lego listings!

        • Only the specific Charcoal and Chalk separate listings appear to be 'sponsored' so I'm guessing it will be one of those rather than the combined listing. Maybe 200 of each?
Given how much time you'll have, just going to have to pick one to try. Probably won't get it even if you pick the right one…

    • You are the MVP

  • Maybe it’s ToysRUs’s fault?

    • that's why all their stores closed down in Australia

  • deal revised: only 1 hub available. probably. FAILBAY

  • 59min 50 Second wait is long !

  • +1

Feeling sorry for the people who signed up for eBay Plus to get one of the deals and then…….this.

    • lmao, guilty! Will try again for the wireless headphone but can't help feeling like I 'm being scammed.

  • OP right only 10 sold after 11 am .

  • +2
    1. Not to be used in conjunction with any other eBay coupon/voucher. Only one redemption code can be used per transaction.

    2. Sellers are responsible for their own stock and eBay does not guarantee the availability of stock.

  • Hello guys

I'm in Adelaide and it's not even 11:00 am yet and the website didn't even show the deals

How can I keep up with you guys :(
    HELP ME!!!!

    • +3

You're just 30 minutes behind AEST, so it should have been 10:30am for you for the Lego deal

    • -2

South Australia is about a decade behind everyone else - good luck !

  • +5

Its under the T&C's that quantity is 200. Misleading advertisement.

  • Is there any way to know what item listing the promo will be on before it gets published in the 'Spotlight Deals' section? People purchased at 11:00:10. i only saw the spotlight deal change a few minutes later.

  • Back in stock

  • +2

More Lego added :) Maybe they're adding more stock on a random basis.

  • its back on

edit: gone again lol only 10

    i got one

  • Trickle feed…they just let out another 10.

  • +1

    Lol another 10 :)

  • Looks like they are dropping it over the hour?

  • +1

Someone ought to get hit by a bludger after that HP lego fail haha!

  • Hold on to your lego hats at 11:38am where they might drop 10 more! hahaha wow

  • +2

More stock in. Got one!!! Even with this Lego, my heart beat went up so high and I don't know if I'll still be alive after Google Home Hub and Bose SoundSport Free Wireless Headphones - Triple Black.

  • +1

    From the T&C

    1. Sellers are responsible for their own stock and eBay does not guarantee the availability of stock.

It could be this seller likes to play haha, makes it a bit more interesting

  • +5

Ebay going to drip feed 1 chip to 1,000 sea gulls occasionally

    • +1

1 chip + 1000 seagulls = frenzy + arrival of 1000 more seagulls in near area

      Are you not entertained?

  • +1

    who's tryna get bose

    • +5

      every ozbargainer ever

      • +2

I've also got my 2 dogs and my 3 year old trying to score one.

  • +3

My guess is that Toys account doesnt have authority to list more than 10 or 20 at a time on each listing. If so this is a massive undersight and fail by ebay

    • Yep u can see they added another 10 at around 11:19am. Definitely ebay's fault here

  • anyone noticed that suddenly the logos have sold an extra 10 units now showing as 30 units sold?
