Those in Sydney wondering what to buy on Groupon…I can suggest trying Biang Biang. Their extra wide handmade noodles with spicy beef or pork are so good! 28% off coupon makes it a cheap meal bringing it down to $6.35.

    • +2

Make sure you check the eligible times for the CBD one.

      • I know right? Times available not with the main conditions. I would go for the cheap meal but much prefer the spicy sauce used at Din Tai Fun

    • I really wanna try this along with a few buffet and all you can eat places.

There is that $12.50 breakfast buffet one I see a lot in Sydney near I think Ultimo and a few $20 ones.

      Trying to get value.

But yeah biang biang noodles look great and good price also might try two.

    • Reviews seem average, and comments say serving size is tiny for groupin orders

      • +1

Not very good imo. The appeal is only the large noodle. The taste is very 'standardised' to suit everyone. I tried Biang Biang Burwood and Chinatown.

There are better places in Burwood such as Stonebowl (very long queue) and Spicy fish.

Peasant-styled Ma La Tang is also arguably better. Dont expect any acceptable level of customer service tho. You can have food delivered for free if you use Alipay and are student.

      • I've tried it at Chatswood the other day and serving portion is fine, I was satisfied. I don't know how some can claim it's tiny. Sometimes you can't trust what you read on the internet.

    Who's your dadday 😏

  • The Dyson V10 Absolute Plus on Groupon worth buying?

  • lol what to buy

  • Perfect! Thanks OP. Now I can put the $10 store credit to good use. https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/478703

    • Dunno how they sell it when its past expiry date? 01/08/2019…

When people ask me what I would do if I won the lotto, I say I'd purchase something off Groupon without a 20+10 saving

    • +1

      He's a mad man!

    • +11

A true ozbargainer would still use the 20+10 saving even after winning the lotto.

      • +2

A true ozbargainer would never waste money on lotto in the first place

  • Nice,
this must be the highest sitewide %off ive seen

    • Curious about this too…

  • Was hoping for another groupon amaysim deal my current one expires soon

    • Same here, ended up buying catchconnect 90 days deal for $15 with $3 cashback. Not bad.

      • U meant $15 with $12 cashback? That was a direct deal on Shopback. Any good prepaid mobile plans on Groupon to use with this offer now?

      • where?

  • +13

Nice, ShopBack is better than Cashrewards. Cashrewards has stopped paying out on Groupon making up excuses so they don’t have to pay you.

    • -2

      👍

      • -1

oh I got negged? haha - keep it coming yo!

    • +4

Yeah, haven't seen anything decent from Cashrewards in a long time.

    • +2

I would normally disagree but my recent experience with Cashrewards has been disappointing. My tracked cashback from Klook since early April is still not cleared even after multiple emails.

      • +2

I suppose what CR always wins over SB is the service and the fact that TA is always here resolving issues as they arise.

        • Shopback have their own rep on here as well that has been great to me. I use to love CR but they are dead to me now.

        • I shouldn’t have to contact TA every time Cashrewards screws me over, it’s not fair to him.

    • -7

      Agreed. RIP CR.

    • -1

I have to agree on this. The quality of ShopBack and CashRewards have completely reversed.
      Good stuff from ShopBack.
I'm not even going to bother with CashRewards anymore unless they have a much higher cashback rate. Too difficult to track my purchases.

      • Are you kidding? Do you know how many people have problems with shopback even tracking. Just look at the last few shopback deals.

        • +1

          I'm not kidding.
I do not know how many people have problems with SB.
My experience is that CR has issues tracking and SB is tracking with more success.

  • Anyone know if there's a limit on the number of transactions per day to get the 20% cashback.

    • I'd like to know the same

  • +1

Is there a cap on the savings?

    • On the Groupon site it’s capped at $40 when I added a Dyson v10 for $949 as a test

  • +2

    https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/480348

    I got this. Thanks dealbot.

  • +1

Just make New Groupon account to get 15% off simple.

    • +2

but does it stack with this 20% cashback?

      • 15%+20% cashback?? Does it work?

      • Of course it stacks. It is written on Shopback page.

      • Yep, did this.

  • thanks!

  • Awesome deal, thanks OP. One thing I noticed though, some big ticket items in Groupon Goods seem to disappear whenever the 20%+10% promo is on. A bit eBay like.

  • Hi is there any limit on shopback amount??

  • +2

I ended up buying the japanese all you can eat food voucher that i already planned on buying for me and 3 friends to go next week. $118 voucher, 10% discount off that= $106.2, 20% cashback on top of that = $84.96 ($21 ish cashback). I then remembered that i had had a chat with customer service like last week and they sent me one of those targeted spend x amount get groupon bucks deals on my email and i checked that and it was $15 groupon credits for spending over $100 on food stuff so all in all came out at $70 dollars for an unlimited japanese a la carte buffet for 4 people. $17.50 each. Imma eat so much (profanity) sushi can’t wait. Love ozbargain for helping me get deals like this.

Edit: well a bit hard to share that groupon bucks with my friends so it’s going to be $21.2 for them and $21.2-15= $6.2 dollars for the buffet for me i guess. Unless i look for another 4 people food deal and go out with the same people again it’s a bit of a hassle given how hard it is to get people together sometimes.

    • Which buffet?

      • Tokyo-Ya Japanese restaurant one.

        • From the reviews on Google it seems it may be closed?

    • I also got that groupon credit bucks thing but haven't seen anything appear after my purchase…? How long did it take for you?

      • +1

After it didn't apply immediately i went back to check the email again and the wording on mine states: "Any earned Groupon Credit will be added to your account on or before 16 September." . So can't really complain until after that date, just gonna have to wait. And if it isn't applied by then i have never had any issues with groupon customer support, in fact they have always been very helpful and accomodating.

Edit: 16th of september is one month after the date i got the email, so i would guess that is the same for your case? And the credit will be applied one month after we got the offer on our emails apparently.

  • +2

Does 20% cashback apply to hotels on groupon? In the terms and conditions,it says not include egift card and value voucher. Not sure what is the defination of value voucher.

    • That was my question too !!fond a hotel deal but not sure cashback is applicable..no info or help session from cashback website either

    • +1

I bought a Groupon holiday last week through Cashrewards, who had the higher rate. The holiday tracked for ~$280 cashback. Noice!

    • I'm guessing that value vouchers are like the New Balance ones where you pay $5 for $50 value.

  • -1

I was excited until I saw the 10% off sitewide is up to a maximum of $40.

  • -1

I believe shopback runs until end of tomorrow (sunday) whereas the code is only today so only stackable for today.

    • +1

      Code extended till 1/9/19 11:59pm.

    • that is the problem. they did not say when the 20% expires cashbacks.

      • My email said this weekend

  • Dealbot. Is cashback of 20% and dadday 10% due tomorrow midnight?

  • What is the maximum cashback from Shopback? Will it apply for tour package?

    Thanks

  • On Groupon I've tried purchasing 2 but the discount only applies to 1. If it costs $50, quantity is 2 then total is $100 but the discount is only $5.

    Is this always the case?

    • I'm trying to buy 2 crown atrium buffet vouchers but having the same issue.

    • +2

You have to buy one at a time. Annoying but the only way it works.

      • have any of you got issues with booking? Ive booked a Saturday as soon as I bought this but they cancelled it the next day without my knowledge? Trying to chase up their support now

  • Any decent Perth deals?
I've bought the greenhorns one a few times now and it's a bargain if you like the Feral biggie juice! Pint of that itself goes for $13/$14 in other places

  • Anyone get ttacking receipt for purchase from yesterday? Hope I dont have same issue as with the last $25 cashback..

    • +1

I got the tracking receipt for mine within 2 hours. Was actually shocked at that. My shopback cashback history page is a mess of investigating claims because they are so shit at tracking my purchases… Especially groupon they almost never track it. This time though they did /shrug

      • +1

Interesting. I bought a deal yesterday using the computer and NO TRACKING. Buy a deal today using the App and going to Groupon app as well, and it tracks within 2 hours. So weird.

Looks like I am going to have to open yet another case with Shopback, about $35 total owed so it better come through. I enjoy their offers but have to say the tracking reliability seems very hit and miss.

        • I bought two Groupon vouchers via the SB app during the 20% cashback, but did not get any tracking. It's always a hit and miss, like you said. These guys are becoming an absolute joke. I've lost count how many times I've had to submit a missing cashback query. I wouldn't be surprised if they try to give me the 7% normal rate cashback. I think it's time to cross over to Cashrewards.

  • +1

I always got mine tracked, both cashrewards and shopback for the last 2 months

  • Most of my recent SB purchases haven't tracked, and I've submitted investigations and emailed SB to no avail. What was the name of the rep on here? Fed up of missing cashbacks.

  • +2

my transaction wasn't tracked for the 20% - only got the standard 7% instead
anyone else ran into this too?

    • Same here

      • +1

create a support ticket, they will credit you the missing 13%
