Solid Mouse. Love the free balling function

  • I use the K400+ as a TV/media keyboard and it works well. Keep in mind that both the MX Anywhere 2S and K400+ only have 1 year warranties, whereas some of Logitech's other models have 3 years.

    • I use it for the same; unfortunately it is not kid proof. My 9 yr old managed to kill ours. Now looking for similar but with backlit keys.

Take a look at the Logitech K830, it's a bit on the expensive side though.

  • rip no bargain on the mx master

  • Has anyone moved to the MX Anywhere from an MX Master (the older model from 3 years ago)? The free scrolling ratchet thing on my Master keeps breaking like it's known to do and I don't quite trust the updated model either and whether the design flaw has been fixed.

Wondering if the MX Anywhere is a solid side-step?

    • Free scrolling ratchet keeps breaking? I didn't this was a thing.

I've had the MX Anywhere 2S for a couple of years and the only trouble I had was stopping the laptop battery control putting the thing to sleep and having it lose connection when untouched for several minutes. I ended up in device manager and had to stop the bluetooth controller from switching off to save battery, other than that it's been solid. I treat it pretty poorly, and it's still going fine. Rarely needs recharging.
      Would buy again.

    • Nah, the Master is totally different to the Anywhere which is a travel mouse and therefore much smaller.

My original Master also kept breaking the wheel (which can be fixed by opening it up and repositioning the ratchet) but the easiest way to stop it happening is to turn off the free wheeling in the settings.

The logical sideways step is the newer model the Master 2S but I think there is a new one being released soon.

    • I own both an MX master2s and anywhere2s. I imagine it's purely due to personal preference as to whether you'll like it or not. For me I had an mx master2s which had its left click break because the spring fell out of it. So I RMA'd the mouse but logitech accidentally sent me the anywhere one which I started using while they sent out my new master2s. I ended up really liking the smaller form factor so have stuck with that since. It's also a lot cheaper which is a big plus.

      • I chucked my anywhere 2s because, surprisingly, it didn't have a middle-mouse click button on the mouse wheel like every other one out there. Only tilt left / tilt right.
I use the middle mouse button a lot for CAD and panning across the page and short-cut opening a link in new tab

        • For me clicking the scroll wheel gives me RSI, so on all of my mice I rebind it. On the anywhere I rebound middle click to the button above the mouse wheel. (this one https://i.imgur.com/2sLUAJD.png)

          • @Invert-Panda: I rebound it to that one too actually. I REALLY tried to get used to it for 2-3 weeks but it was just too difficult for me. Moving my middle finger off the mouse wheel to do that was too irritating given how much I used it for my day to day work.

I was really sad about having to fork out more $ to pay for a mx master, because the Anywhere 2S is perfect in everything else and great price. Definitely recommend it if the MMB isn't an issue for the user.

  • Worth buying this Samsung tablet or the S5e?

    • S5e is probably worth the price premium imo. More ram, quite a bit better CPU, better screen and speakers.

However if you don't use your tablet much or if you only use it for watching videos.. it might be worth saving your money.

Been waiting for one of these touchpad-keyboards to be on ozbargain for ages. Finally was able to snatch one up.

  • Is 2GB RAM and TFT screen still acceptable for an Android 2019 tablet?
At least the screen is Full HD.

  • bought the anywhere 2s and highly recommended! great price.

  • Can I take this anywhere?

  • Been waiting for a decent discount on anywhere 2S since I'm still using the original mx anywhere

Nearly ordered the tablet until just realised it is downgraded from last year model.
    Will suffer with 2GB RAM.

  • i apply the code for the keyboard and it doesnt work. maybe expired?

  • +1

Getting a message saying the code is no longer working but the terms says it ends 23:59 on 25 Aug 2019. It's even still on the homepage.

    • Seems to be working again.

wonder if the tab is even worth it. All of the ones at local JB HiFi had some serious lag going on when I tested it.

    • Should be 3gb ram minimum.

  • Love my Logitech MX Master. Need another for the office. computer_alliance have 15% off coming up on these at the moment on eBay.
