  • It's so tiny :/ I thought it's a bit bigger by looking at the pictures.

    • It's not tiny. The buttons are fantastic. The joystick is great as well.

This console is amazing, worth the money. Control's on the console are excellent and screen is crystal clear. Btw you will need to pick up a USB C cable to power the console plus adapter if need be

    Neo Geo, Neo Geo!
4 bright buttons and two joysticks!

  • Is this the new neo geo mini release or is that another product that's coming?

    Ps. I'm tempted folks!

Edit: this is the new one I was thinking of. It's just that this is the USA version and the international version sold here is a different colour unit.

Grabbed one - good deal, even though I'm sure there will be local discounts down the track at some point once out for a while. With the two controllers it's a nice price.

Cool bought one just to collect.

  • Lightning deal over.

I couldn't justify it with a PC under the TV with RetroArch installed on.

  • +2

I’ve had one of these for a while.
    Have barely played it.
But it looks nice on my desk at work.

huge neo geo fan. This thing looks like utter trash.

    • It actually reviewed very well. You can play on the mini or connect to tv for big screen action. Nothing an emulator can't achieve but none of the minis are any different in that way.

    • +2

Reviews from fans is generally positive, but 2 downsides that is often mentioned: It uses an analog joystick for a digital interface, so no clicky switches and the image isn't sharp when outputting to TV.

I wouldn't get it, but if its joystick utilised switches it would be a clear win for most.

  • Is the emulation good on this?

    • +1

Performance wise, yes. Runs smooth with low input lag, options to setup as 16:9 or 4:3, to stretch or to scale. Downsides are the output to TV isn't very sharp and there is only one image filtering option.
