  • I didn't know they did a 4ah battery, assumed 1.8 and 5.

Do they get cheaper much? I would strongly benefit from one of these

    • they have 2.5ah battery as well

      • They also have 6.0aH and 9.0aH, which supposedly gives increased power to some tools

        • which supposedly gives increased power to some tools

How would they do that ???

@jv: More cell banks help only when the appliance power is limited by current draw. Not all (not many?) appliances are limited in this way and it depends on the load (eg: drilling concrete more likely to be current limited than timber)

(I'm repeating a comment in another recent ozb thread)

      • and a 2.0ah

Might be worth picking up the blower with a 18V 5.0Ah Battery for ~$25 extra.

EDIT: According to the manual, it also comes with a Fast Charger.

    • yes, it does come with a 5.0Ah battery and a fast charger.
Buy the blower set and sell the skin for $50, easy.

    • How does the blower compare to the other one+ blowers?

  • get the blower better value

  • Is 2 hours fast charging these days? I assumed you could charge as fast as you can discharge batteries.

    • There's an even faster 5A charger too.

    • LOL, Makita charges their 4.0 Ah batteries in 36 minutes.

    • It's about battery lifetime. Charging generates heat, heat kills the battery. 'Fast chargers' (good/real ones at least) use higher currents and/or voltages, combined with a temperature sensor and charging electronics.

Friend, doesnt it have to be in the title to be a duplicate?

      • Yup. According to the rules. Which don't always work well for every situation :)
