Whirlpool French Door Stainless SteelFridge 588L Model no: 6GX0FHDXXY for $1299 from Costco

130

The attached link doesn't show the price, Costco doesnt have any catalogue with prices that I can attach. However I got the delivery of the fridge on last Sunday & looks great. It is a bit low on energy rating (1.5 star) consumes about 715kw per year. The cheapest I could find this fridge elsewhere was for $1489. Costco has it for $1299.

  • good price… i reckon good guys would get close to matching it though if your weren't already a Costco member…

I checked with Good Guys as well. I know someone who works for them. Their cost price (real cost price) is $1295. But there is no stock. Harvey Norman is $1489 after much haggling. This is a run out model

This is a run out model

what are they replacing it with ?

      • No future model for French door displayed on Whirlpool's official website. So not sure

At least they don't put TV's in them like some other brand…

This is a run out model

      Is your fridge running?

Than you should go catch it

  • Will They Still Have Stock after I join their member now?
I don't want to join it then pay $60 and they told me no more stock.

      call them

    • With Costco, you can return your membership at any time during your membership period. Regardless of purchases you made during that time.

Hold you chair… Any product from Costco comes with warranty as long as you are a member. So if I am a member for 10 yrs without a gap, the fridge I bought will be covered for 10 yrs. Don't believe me, call them to check!
They also have the price warranty. So in 2 yrs time if u find the same model cheaper elsewhere you can get your money back. And I am not kidding! Only found all this out during the purchase on Sunday

  • BTW, Does it include delivery fee?

      i didn't think Costco delivered ?????

      • the post did said:
"However I got the delivery of the fridge on last Sunday & looks great. "

      • $70 for delivery. Costco referred to a contractor who organized the delivery on the same day

  • is french door, double door?

  • They still had one (possibly more) 2 hrs ago.

    Large Size

Keep your food items fresher for longer with the 588L Whirlpool fridge which features 404L fridge capacity, 184L freezer capacity, full width deli drawer for your deli items, self sealing centre bar and adjustable glass shelves.

    Frost Free

    • Note, 3.5 energy star rating is a misprint as far as I can tell. When delivered I saw the rating on the Fridge - its was 1.5

      • The rating agency deducted 2 stars from all fridges a while ago. I guess they reckon fridges like this don't deserve so many stars.

Since this is an old product, I don't think it's a con. 3.5 stars would have been correct when it was made.

wtf this fridge should be like $400.

    • why ?

      • Sorry about that, didn't see it was french door. Good price.

        • I am new to this site, but trust me its a very good deal for a french door Fridge. I have done a lot of homework before making the purchase

I have done a lot of homework

          = google… :P

  • I bought one of these babies about 3 weeks ago for just under $1500 with 3 yrs extended warranty (5 yrs in total) from Retravision without much haggling at all. It does consume about 750kwh pa of power but all large fridges need at about 650 kwh, so for about $25 extra in power bill per year it's not that bad.

The fridge itself is pretty good, and runs pretty quietly.

  • I guess these aren't available any more?
