    Game is 11/10
Wish I could get it on Android some how. Or even a replica

    • I used to have it on Android, I'm pretty sure there are still apks out there you could install. From memory the controls were a little frustrating though. Hoping for a decent port one day.

      Right?!
Because its turn-based its the perfect game for android. But a full on port would be tricky. I think a cut down version would work better. To that end, HOMMM 2 might work better. It was a dos game. It works on dosbox, but you need to play around with settings to get it to work I gather.

If you haven't played it before, you can get an idea of it here (first link)

    • did they remove it from the store?

I think I got it back when Telstra credit gave google play credit, so I technically got it for free.

This was my favourite of the series. Classic.

    • Mine too.

I'll acknowledge HOMM3 as being the better game (and most people's favorite), but I played HOMM2 first and it came out a few years earlier so it had more of an impact on me and was more impressive for the time I played it.

Best game ever. More addictive than a lot of drugs.

Note that this is not the HD edition that you'll find on steam, that was rereleased in 2015. BUT, you can get a mod to make it HD if you really can't handle the low qual graphics.

Love this game. I played it a LOT - a big draw was watching your city grow - the cities were so beautiful, the sound effects were on POINT - there were balance issues with the archangels in the early versions but I think they fixed it with the expansions (maybe? goddamn #avertingmyeyes tho) - anyway I love this game, and I hope some of you will too.

    • The archangels could resurrect other units, but regardless of how many archangels you had in your stack, you could only use the ability once in battle.

If you wanted to resurrect other angels, you had to split up your stack, which then reduced the size of your army. Want to use it 3 times in battle? You'll need 3 stacks of angels and each stack will be weaker at healing since you are diluting their power.

There was built in balance to limit their power already. Their stats were not the best in the tier otherwise.

  • Still surprises me that no one has tried to re create this beauty into something worthy of a current gen release.

The formula is all there just need to copy paste it into a new lore, new universe or just make it look nicer.

    Easy money, easy funny.

    • Isn't that what Ubisoft have been doing since 5?

There is also an HD remaster.

  • This got me nostalgic. Installing HOMM3 HD on Steam now.
