I've been eyeing off these cards, but sadly work got in the way today from the previous post. A quick search of eBayPlus brought up a few more seller at similar price.

Quick thing about pricing, with GST this price is ~$403 USD or on par with MSRP.

Here's two other eBay stores if you haven't activated your 30 day eBayPlus trial.

  • Do you know if this is Australian stock and will we receive any warranty by purchasing through these sellers?

    • I had a look around eBay and apart from "Australian based" and plenty of comments about fast shipping I wasn't to sure. The PayPal invoice was for "Pc Meal" and their a pretty large eBay provider company, but I don;t understand how companies who advertise on on eBay operate!

Azeshop and Ninjabuy are PC Byte
      Shallothead is Shopping Express

      Both are Australia retailers.

You can always go to https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/ebay.com.au/storenamehere (eg https://www.ozbargain.com.au/deals/ebay.com.au/azeshop) to see if it redirects anywhere to tell you who the parent company/store is. As well as looking at the store pages below the actual deal.

      • Thanks

      • LOL it says they're perma banned from rep posting on OzB for sockpupetting.

  • Shipping costs would ne irrelevant anyways for the deal, need ebay plus for the code tmk?

Real pain, decently priced after codes

  • Nice! I'm hoping these deals mean other custom models will start appearing at decent prices too, soon. Eagle-eyed OzBargainers on the lookout :-)

The Non XT - Reference blower models are going for $475 which is a real steal at $292 USD (ex GST). They have their down sides, but are looking pretty good value .

    • But it shows as 900$?

      • If you have Ebay Plus a voucher appears to give that price.

Why did people vote down the 2070 super?

It has more mature drivers, lower power usage, better cooler, higher FPS count in most games and has ray tracing, for a <$120 premium. Its a very solid and good value option with the ebay sales. Or is this just anti nvidia sentiment?

      • All that I could imagine was the lack of brackets to smarten up the hyperlink.

GamersNexus just did a review of this card, thermals were hotter than the Sapphire Pulse and fan has to run faster/louder but u get a 2-3% increase in fps (negligble imo). Not sure if ive seen the pulse on sale here yet to compare pricing

    • Further fps increase for the Sapphire cards looks to be "Sapphire TriXX Boost" and one youtube reviewer quoted 10-15% increase in his testing. This software enables the user to set a scale/percentage of render for their preferred resolution and then the GPU uses AMD's image sharpening to fix or clear up the frame. This seemed like an easy way to get a desired frame rate, and may prove to be an advantage if it is not just clever marketing!

Only places the pulse is sold at right now are widely marked up. Hopefully that drops, because the card's excellent for it's intended price.

Also worth noting Sapphire only offer 2 year warranty as opposed to MSI's 3 years.

  • Tempting but I'm gonna wait for red dragon reviews first …

  • Wait for the rumoured 5800 and 5900 series cards?

    • Does the 5700xt fit what you need from an upgrade?

Why did people vote down the 2070 super someone mentioned?

It has more mature drivers, lower power usage, better cooler, higher FPS count in most games and has ray tracing, for a <$120 premium. Its a very solid and good value option with the ebay sales. Or is this just anti nvidia sentiment?

    • I think it's a better deal, but someone else may not. They may not care about raytracing and might be totally okay with the temps and fan noise of this model, which in that case for them you can see why the $120 extra may not seem worth it. Or maybe they just don't like the brand.

  • Please note that this card does not have RGB - certainly a deal breaker for me (and maybe for some)
And with RTX 2070 super ~$130 more, I rather spend a bit more and get that and bask in the glory of ray tracing.
Have a look at Minecraft with ray tracing videos on youtube - the tech is real and has so much potential.
Going with AMD means you will miss out on the tech for the next few years
