  • 4G only models only for anyone wanting 5G

  • Not quiet sure how you got your prices, code panther brings the prices down to $1299/$1499 which is already posted here: https://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/477568

Edit: Just noticed once you add to cart $60 is taken off.

probably from the additional $60 off

  • -1

do u get the $499 headphones with this?

    • Not worth it. No headphones offered.

  • It is not worth it, you get better deal going straight to the Samsung store (Bonus $200 Off + trade in of phone. i.e. $110 for S7 + 200 bonus for a total of $310 off) or using any of the JB Hi-Fi or Good Guys deal. Any of these will include the pre-order headphone. Otherwise, wait till after it goes on general sale and we should start to see steep discounts.

    • I don't see the bonus $200 where does this show up?

      • +1

That is instore. I was offered the bonus $200 at the Chadstone Samsung store and a full $110 for my S7.

        • Can confirm the $200 bonus was offered to me at Samsung Garden City as well

        • so how much was it before that $310 discount? $1499? Thanks mate

          • +1

@Sergito89: $1499 for the Note 10 and $1699 for the Note 10+. As I type that, it reminds me of how expensive it is.

            • @D One: how did u ask for the $200 off? I did mention and they said they were not aware of such a discount in store. Thanks

              • @Sergito89: I didn't ask, I was offered. What phone are you trading in?

                • @D One: just an old iphone 5s I ve got at home

                  • +1

@Sergito89: That would be why. I believe you need to be trading in a Samsung Phone

    • trade in of phone. i.e. $110 for S7

That would be up to $110. Mine said up to $210 for a note 8 and they offered me $30 due to scratches on screen.

Also there isn’t a $200 discount via Samsung site.

      • Go to the Chadstone store if in Vic. I was offered the bonus $200 instore.

  • Not negging but discussing: from an Ozbargainer perspective, I can't understand how people can pay $1200+ on an Android phone when you very extremely decent options (like Xiaomis or OnePluses or Pixel 3e) for half this cost and with at least 90% of the features of these overpriced Samsung devices. It feels like I am missing something. Would anyone be able to point good reasons for it other than personal taste?

    • +1

Personal preferences and biases? My Mrs Is a long term note user. When I suggested the OnePlus 7 pro she shut it down because the camera wasn’t as good. When I then suggested the pixel 3 she shut it down cos the battery life wasn’t as good. Some people are set in their ways and it’s hard to change their opinions unless they play with the cheaper phones hands-on and see how good they can be.

      • My Mrs has been using the Note phones, and she never uses the s pen. But she will not want any other models or brands. For me, versatility, stability and Australian warranty with local stores are important. So, Samsung it is!

        • +1

Water resistance, expandable storage, build quality, better camera, and regular software support for 2 years would be some other reasons.

    • +1

I'm no N10 buyer but a massive aftermarket support, no SPen, no Headphone jack, no IP68 resistance and not sending my data to the Chinese government would be some of the reasons I can think of.
A lot of people also like to stick with well known brands instead of taking a risk they know nothing about and then face another Huawei scare. Things like that will almost never happen to Apple/Samsung.

      • well, that's why I mentioned the "Ozbargainer perspective", as I don't expect all the people to weigh the cost X benefit as well as the median person which uses this site every day. I assume that we would be the kind of people that would do the research and answer the questions about brand and quality of the devices, instead of paying double due to brand attachment. I'm all for technology and bargains, and I see these 1000+ devices like a massive NO-NO wall. I'm currently on a Pixel 2 and I am already studying the alternatives to upgrade by the end of the year, and I can't see me paying more than 600 on a phone as there are just too many excellent options in the market at this price range. Samsung is even bloated as well…

Well from "ozbargainer perspective", I am doing this: Pre-order from Amazon with shopback cash back, TRS this when I leave Australia in a month, use 28 degree cc, and wait almost 1 year till it drops to 800-1k and claim price difference.

The main reason I choose Samsung because it has a huge saturation and its price drops a lot so I can abuse this price protection.

For Note 10 Plus, it would come out to be $1264 on first day. In a year when I claim price protection, it might be $600 for refund so it puts it at around $700 for this phone + free headphone.

          • @Jetkuma: i used 28 degree to buy in JB , got the 100 gift card as well.

            • @CDG: Isn't JB HiFi is 1699 for Note 10+? Amazon it is 1599 and you get shopback 12% cashback

          • @Jetkuma: does 28 degrees ignore the $500 headphones for price protection?
could someone just order from jb hifi or amazon then claim price drop on mobileciti or something?

            • @Dissent: $500 headphone is gift so it doesn't count. The phone is $1,599 on receipt. It shows the headphone as $0. You just fill out claim form when they come out new note 11 and drop prices on note 10.
