  • fyi Lenovo IdeaPad is not actually FHD, the title of the ebay listing appears to be incorrect

    Check the previous deal comments.
    There are some quality issues.

  • why these refurb price cost as much as some of the brand new ones posted here

FWIW the $423 Lenovo has one of the worst screens I've seen in a long time. I returned mine and bought the FHD model from Grays.

Performance and build quality was very good, keyboard was acceptable, was a tad heavy for my liking, but I just couldn't live with the screen.

    • Was it easy to return something to Grays? Is it just as simple as opening a return request?

Extremely easy. Didn't even raise a dispute, just messaged via eBay. They emailed me a postage slip I printed and whacked on the original box. Dropped it off at the counter at AusPost.

Grays are very hit and miss (I've had to return a few) but the ease of return and cheap prices keeps me tempted.

This matches my experience with a faulty refurb 700-11ISK. I opted for a repair (it's hard finding an 11" with a FHD screen)

        • Hit & miss, 100% true , many bad experiences, lenovo tab 4 plus that purchased for ~$190 is virtually new, may not be lucky next time..

  • Good prices but they have been this price for about a year.

  • Bought the Lenovo Yoga 720-12IKB. ~$470 after PROMO+SB+discounted GC+TRS. Let's see how it turns out. Bought the Lenovo Ideapad MIIX 700 from them last year and it came practically new and is still rocking.

    • Cashback not payable if using gift cards.

      • Forgot about it. ~$5 gone

    • Got mine. One light scuff mark on top otherwise as if brand new externally. Screen is in perfect condition. Keyboard, touchpad, touchscreen, accelerometer and USB A and C ports all good so far. Run battery report and got the following:

      DESIGN CAPACITY 36,000 mWh
      FULL CHARGE CAPACITY 35,597 mWh
      CYCLE COUNT 16

Seems like a keeper for now.

  • FYI, I got the 4k Yoga 920 and received it today. The first thing I checked was the battery quality, and it was unfortunately 42000 mWH. The original rated capacity was 70000 mWH. I might have gotten a really bad one, but yeah, buyer beware.

    • Where did you get the 42000 quality reading? Did you run a test of some sort?

  • I just received my Yoga 920 but it's got a few issues. The hinge creaks loudly, auto-rotate doesn't work, it doesn't switch from laptop to tablet mode and when I switch it back the keyboard and touchpad don't reactivate without a system restart. I'm guessing these are mostly part of the same defect - maybe the reason it was returned under warranty by the original owner. The serial number is also scratched off which i find strange and pointless. Has anyone else had issues?

  • Ordered and received a Yoga 520 for the mrs for her birthday. Laptop had some tiny marks on outside case which I was expecting as I knew it was a refurb unit. Did have some random issues with grey/black/white lines on screen within 20 minutes of her using it. Initiated return via ebay, let's see how it goes. Also laughed at the GraysOnline warranty void sticker over one of the screws on the back cover. So if you upgrade the SSD/NVMe or RAM yourself you would be voiding your GraysOnline warranty, what a joke!
