I'm tempted to buy another set just for the 10mm. Can never find the 10mm.

    • 10mm is quite common. Wait til you have to hunt for a 15mm!

      • 10mm and 14mm for me personally.

    • +11

I'd suggest glueing a gps device on the 10mm. You might end up finding the location of the 5 trillion 10mm spanners and sockets that have gone missing. It would be better then winning the lotto!

I solved this problem some time ago by getting the kincrome 10mm ratchet key ring from a previous deal. Then someone borrowed my keys and lost them :(

Been buying these & the 8mm for work as I keep losing them

nice to have 12 pieces of metric and not paying extra for some sae that will never be used anymore.

    • How often do you use the odd metric sizes ie the 9, 11, 13, and 15? I've used the 15mm maybe once. 17 and 19 are far more common though but the smaller ones are as useful as imperial. I'd rather they drop those 4 and get the remainder cheaper.

  • Thanks OP, bought a set

  • I m getting 106 aud not prime member. need help how to use amazon us

    How do you guys resit?
Can someone please post few other deals, this seems to be appearing on the top of new deals page, makes my life difficult

  • -2

How do you get free shipping?

    • Wasn’t prime

  • Cheers OP. Good value on this set + 8% CB from SB brings it down to $58 - Pulled the trigger.

  • How do you do reverse on these? Use the other end? lol

    • Turn it over?

      • So they're perfectly flat?

        Think id need offset ones.

        • Yup, flat.

        • Offset ratcheting is always a lot more expensive. It's a lot more complex to manufacture.

Good buying if you have Prime which I dont :(

  • +1

Great set! I bought one last time, however I would highly recommended getting the 16 piece set simply for those bigger size wrenches as they are better value overall.

  • Thanks, ebay plus has expired so this is the excuse to try prime. Forgot I had a $30 balance from the hard drive price error, Happy early fathers day to me!

Stop making comment as if you guys just bought at the mentioned price as you don’t get free international deliver with a Prime any more. Don’t confuse others.

    • +1

Just bought at mentioned price, no delivery charges..

    • +5

Yes you do, it's just back to being a $49 minimum spend for free international delivery for Prime members.

    • I got my set at this price including delivery. Sorry you are confused

  • -4

No offset makes these basically useless.

    • I've been using ratcheting spanners with no offset for a while and haven't really found it to be an issue. I bang my knuckles all the time, offset or not.

    • +2

For some things. Offset makes some useless in certain situations. Horses for courses.

  • Sorry for previous comment as I got a Prime membership in US which doesn’t have international free delivery. Prime membership in Oz does.

    • You are forgiven

Not until Dzui shouts the entire ozb community to an eneloop each

        • i bags a D cell eneloop!

Happy to help anyone who are without prime.
    Around Glen Waverley area

  • Good price. I bought a Stanley 12 piece set, identical sizes for $89 a couple of weeks ago at Supercheap on special. Stanley comes with a tool roll rather than a molded tray which I personally prefer.

    • +1

i also prefer a tool roll, or a metal not plastic storage case.
own a few of the stanley spammers and sockets now and no problems at all in regards to plating chipping or the jaws getting nicks.

  • There are some comments about wearing out with modest use.

  • Damn you Ozbargain.
    Didn't need.
    Wasn't able… to… resist.

  • Cheers, always on the look out for decent tools at good prices.

    • You are swapping 2 metric and 20 bucks for 10 SAE, really depends on if you work on American or Vintage cars

    • Only if you need those 10 SAE wrenches. Rather pay $20 less for metric wrenches that I will actually use.

    • I just found this also (after pulling the trigger of course)

  • $63.22 + $24.42 Delivery

    • -1

      FFS, read? PRIME?

  • Why couldn't I resist the SCA ones ;-(

    • I looked at that special. What are they like?

      • +1

They appear well made with a mirror like chrome finish. The ratchets are nice and tight and need very little rotation before the next click, so very good where movement is limited.

Another good thing is the black ratcheting star-wheel sits slightly below the surface of the chrome ring, so no chance of scuffing paintwork; I have an old set like these- https://www.toolstation.com/offset-ratchet-spanner-set/p8891…
which have a small raised rivet that, if I'm not careful, scratches the paint of whatever I use them on.

Just wish both ends of the SCA ones had been ratchets though, as I already have lots of metric open-enders.
