Bowers & Wilkins PX Bluetooth Noise Cancelling Ear Phones $320.57 + 2000 QFF Points Delivered @ Qantas Store

80

Seems to be the cheapest price on record based on previous listings

2 Colours available : Space Grey | Soft Gold

From what I have heard, the sound and build quality are heaps better than the Sony XM3's and Bose QC35ii's! Maybe someone who has this unit can chip in.

Most places are selling this for over $500!!

  • If you can't afford B&W car, maybe you can buy this B&W headphone

its all about the Q700 now :P

    • Love my XM3's way too much (after selling the QC35ii's) and dont see a point in shelling out $500!!

I used to have these , sold them to buy the Sony XM3's ,noise cancelling is not up to the same standard as the Sony's or the Bose . The B&W sound and build quality is 5 star , but I did find they clamped a bit too much for me.

Yes I have also commented that in the past, the B&W PX have tight clamping force.

  • wow that's incredible value.

Wow the reviews looks so good. If i need one I will pick this over Sony xm3. The build quality of Sony is so plasticy. I went to jbhifi to try and immediately noticed. Have a look inside the ear cups. The glue and material are shocking. Not sure why people happy to spend $350 …

I have these - they are beautiful and the build quality is far ahead of the equivalent Bose/Sony/Sennheisers. But, they aren't as comfortable if you wear them for hours at a time. They sound good (but not as good as Sennheiser), the noise cancelling is good (but not as good as Bose or Sony) so you should only buy them if you love the look and build quality.

I find them to sound the best even better than Sennheiser. But I eventually bought the Sony (mine is XM2) thinking that I might not use the PX that often due to the clamping force.

By the way the PX have their own very good internal DAC, so wired to USB C they sound even better.

      • Article: “my favorite feature is that the headphone can both charge and play audio through its USB-C cable, at the same time.”

So these have digital audio input, so you can use them wired to phone with USB cable. Interesting.

      • I thought the Sennheisers were a little flatter. Bit more oomph in the PX's low end if you like that.

I will have to give them a go with the wired USB-C connection.

Good headphone but the clamping force is indeed strong with this one :)
I also find it has to sit in "the right spot" - if you wear glasses for example it may not sit properly and severely affects the sound (all bass gone).
The strong clamp is needed for these to work properly and have them tightly sealed against your head.

The noise reduction is fine for plane especially once you have some music on. I had them on most of trip to Montreal and used to them by now but for sure other headphones are way more comfortable.

(re noise reduction I haven't personally compared to Sony M3 on actual plane - though which I expect would be better)
