    Its a great first bean grinder, I bought mine from the Coffee Beanery in April last year for $189.05 as they had a $10 sign up voucher and free freight. But both offer at $199 currently.

    Needs some clarification as Webchat at AB pops up with - Australia wide $9.95 Flat Rate Shipping. 1-2 days on the entire East Coast of Australia. 1-4 Days to the Rest of Australia.

          Smart grinder will give you espresso… Though you'll have to use a fine grind. Can't comment on this though.

          imo, encore is an old model, but still has a fantastic reputation as a great filter grinder. The grinds quality and ease of use of this grinder (compared to the Breville) would be a lot better, for filter coffee
          The Breville can also grind for espresso, so it depends on what you want it for.
          If you only make filter at home, I would rather have the Encore.

          BSG - get it if you're making espresso. If it's primarily for filter, cold brew, or similar coffees, do NOT get the BSG. I made that mistake, and the coarsest setting with the burr grinder physically dialled to the coarsest setting in addition to the 'digital' setting is still unusably fine.

          Encore - what I ended up getting as a filter/cold brew drinker, and it does the job fine - would recommend. Can't comment on how badly it may do espresso, as I haven't tried

    Okay kidding. I just like having espresso grind as an option. If I was exclusively aeropress or drip I might be okay with this… But I'd probably get something else for 200bucks

    Baratza Encore is probably the best bang for buck electronically powered filter grinder out there.
    If you’re looking for something better than the Breville Smart Grinder Pro that ALSO does espresso, get the Baratza Sette 270W.

    If you want a hand grinder that grinds for both, get a Comandante. It’s procey though. And manual grinding is hard work…
