i'm not sure it does hold up but it is fun kicking people into impractically located spikes

I enjoyed this game so much when i played it years ago, has had a few reinstalls since then and its always enjoyable playing with the magic/physics system - putting ice on the ground at the top of the stairs, shooting a guy with a fireball to get his attention, watching him walk over the ice, slip all the way down the stairs and off the edge of a cliff, or into a set of wall spikes - it's a joy to play around with and no other game ive played has really quite managed to replicate that feeling.

  • Good game. Back in the day I added this to my Steam library for free by using the DVD serial key, not sure if still possible?

    • +2

That is still possible, although I don't think games give cards if done that way

      • +1

Oh no! Think of the cards!

I'm being facetious. I know your response was factual and I'm not making fun of you. I just think cards and achievements (unless they're actually cool like the gnome in HL2) are a blight on gaming. Obsession can be a big negative for the individual and somewhat for society too, which these things encourage

Yeah, I just ignore them. But I think they shouldn't exist.

        • I don't care for collecting game cards, but you can 'mine' and sell them and use that money to buy more games so cards aren't so bad :O

  • This was better than oblivion. Don't @me!

  • Likely to be another Steam game I never play but still, cheaper than a cup of mediocre coffee so no regrets

  • Was weighing up getting it, the status of online multiplayer is a bit sad, bit of detail here https://steamcommunity.com/app/2130

Normally you don't get a 13 year old game for the multiplayer.
Solo campaign is 10 hours or more - good value for less than $2.
