It was in-stock for about 8 seconds. I got one. You have to be fast. have your PayPal details in auto sign in so all you gotta do is copy that voucher and press one button.

  • +1

    I don't need it but…..

  • +12

Ok, It's time to use the trick again.

1st hour: Get to the checkout page

    1. Spam F5/reload the listing page 1 min before the deal starts.
    2. Click Buy it Now immediately when it appears
    3. Put the coupon code ASAP
    4. fill in other details (no rush)
    5. Preparation for the next hour is now done. Keep the page open and Do not click "Conform Pay"

    Next Hour: the fun bit

    1. 1 min before the deal starts, spam the "Conform and Pay"
    2. Be careful not to accidentally click "privacy policy" and "terms for payments without a PayPal account" above "Conform and Pay", this will ruin everything.
    3. Never stop the clicking until the order is confirmed.
    • +1

Sure, for that price, I'll conform. 😂

    • I'm up to "the fun bit" :)

If I click Confirm and Pay before it goes live again, it won't take me to an error page?

      • It wont take you to an error page if you spam confirm and pay even if the deal isn't live (yet)

    • SO how do you get to the checkout page when it says 'out of stock'?

      • you can only do it when its in stock. so you have that 6-40 seconds of window where you can click add to cart, add the code. When you click on confirm and pay it wont go through cos by that time its already out of stock. So your best bet is to wait for the next hour and start spamming confirm and pay.

        • Ah that makes sense, I couldn't even get that far last time though. :)

        • this didnt work for me though.

    • Everyone must be using your trick because the deal lasted over a minute at 10:00 AM but were all sold out within seconds every hour after that.

    • so did this actually work for anyone?

    • Thanks to @Magicmushroom, this trick worked for me between 12 and 1 slot.
added the SSD in cart at 12PM and then waited for next round at 1 pm, before 15 seconds to 1 pm, started clicking confirm and pay and after 4-5 clicks, it worked. thanks heaps. got email and confirmation as well from ebay and binglee. Binglee invoice says $84 including $5 postage but amount taken from my CC is $79 as per the deal so no confusion on that. thanks OZp, was looking to buy this for long time, never thought that i will get it for this crazy price.

    • This worked for me. Managed to add to cart at 11:00am, tried refreshing and clicking just before until after 12:00pm (didn't work), just kept clicking from 12:59pm until it worked.

  • damn i forgot to put the code, can i cancel it

  • +7

if this is anything like the $99 airpod
then it is gonna shit waste of time for most people

    I like amazon system better
where if you manage to add to cart
then that item is reserve for you with a limited time to checkout..

the ebay system is a shit total waste of time..

    • +2

They are trying to be smart. Gamble either you forgetting to cancel eBay plus or forgetting to put the voucher before checking out.

      • +1

what is so smart about pissing off most of their customers?

this crap COTD style deal is a total waste of time
        and is more of stunt..

Last time most people wasted their day
waiting for the next hour in hope of snatching up the $99 airpods
        with most people missing out..

        • Even though everyone knows about the trick, see how many ppl are still staying online and playing games with eBay. According to commercial strategy, they are successful, no matter how many negative feedback.

  • This more of a lottery than a deal.

    • +1

Deffo a deal. But lottery to get one.

  • I got one from the last Ebay deal and I though $169 was a very good deal…

  • Timezone?

  • Just got email invoice for $84 inc. $5 postage. Listing specifically states free postage. Anyone know what's up with that?

    • Ebay did the same for airpods last time, I believe people got them refunded as ebay credit.

    • How much did you get charged?

      • Paypal $79.

    • It's just how things are invoiced as that $5 fee is paid by eBay Plus. What matters is how much you were actually charged.

  • I've got a serious question, how can ebay/binglee afford to sell these things (airpods, ssd) at prices much lower than RRP? Is the stock part of a bad batch or returned items etc. I don't get it.

    • +2

eBay would be compensating Bing Lee for the sales to advertise/promote eBay Plus memberships.

    • Probably close to cost price. eBay are probably taking the hit to get ppl to signup to ePay Plus.

    • They earn 10% selling things

    • also last time I think ppl got the Malaysian airpods rather australian stock ones..

      • They weren't Malaysian as the ones in-store also have those stickers. All non-grey market AirPods came with that labelling (Malaysian and Thai as well) because it was meant for SE Asia+Oceania.

  • here we go again!

    • Good luck folks!

  • +1

See you all on the other side… May you be victorious in your endeavours

  • +1

    Yay! Got it!

  • +2

JESUS H CHRIST I DID THAT IN ABOUT 3 SECONDS AND MISSED IT!!

  • got it!

  • +1

what the actual (profanity)? i refreshed right on 12 and by the time i was at checkout they're sold out?

  • +2

Did that sell out in 1 second?

  • GOT IT!

  • bhawahahaha

    last purchase 08-Aug-19 12:00:20 AEST

  • +1

    it sold out in seconds..omg

  • +1

BS. Sold out in 20 seconds

    • Less than that man, mine was sold out at 12:00:09, and wasn't available at 12:00:00

I guess this is some eventual-consistency distributed system so it's pretty much all luck.

  • +3

    In stock at 12:00:04
    Out of stock at 12:00:09
Sorry, we can't complete your checkout at this time. Please try changing your item quantity or check your account status.

  • FFS! again!

  • Staying logged in on the checkout page definitely works.

Just got my confirmation from eBay and PayPal.

    Woohoo!

    • +1

      Didn't work for me… clicked "Confirm and Pay" from 11:59 55 to 12:00 15

      • same here…. didnt work for me….

  • Fark me, less than 5 seconds and all units are gone!

  • Faster every time hahahaha.

  • I reckon it took me 4 seconds to purchase it, apply code and SOLD OUT :(

  • -1

    Got one!!

  • crap. At least I got one in my cart this time….. by the time I hit confirm they were all gone again.

    • Sigh - me too

    • Stay in checkout. Get ready for the next one and 20ish seconds until the hour, spam the confirm and buy button until it goes through.

  • Got one, thanks for post OP. Stay on the checkout page if your order failed this time, and spam the checkout /confirm and pay button as soon as 12:59 comes.

  • didnt last 20 seconds. I managed to check out in 20 seconds and it was gone.

    • From the time i saw it, i was ready to pay in 6 seconds. too slow still…

They must be showing it to some people earlier than others.

    • I was 5 seconds and didn't get one.

  • "The seller doesn't have that many left." … 2 seconds too long to accept my information I guess ..

  • Got one. Now I gotta find stuff to put on my drive.

  • It is ridiculous

  • +1

Waste of time and energy, it’s a stunt - based on the current situation and the very previous deal like that. You might be able to get it, you are likely going to end up frustrated. Unless you deployed an army of bots, I reckon.

  • I had it in cart and sold out… that was fast.

  • Dodgy. I was on the buy screen, it loaded for a second and said it had sold out. Must have sold out in .05 of a second because I was ready to go on the purchase screen.

Either scripts or dodgy, either way I am out for the day. Not wasting any more time on a gamed system.

Come on Amazon match those prices.

  • +1

Got mine. Just hung around at the Payment section.

Missed out on the 11am around. Kept the page open at "Confirm and Pay" and waited for 12pm.
    Stay frosty people!

    • +1

Even that one-click tactic didn't work for me. There must be more than 100 automated scripts being triggered immediately (or someone bought multiple units in one transaction).

  • Alright so I did the method where you add the item to cart but don't check out and pay till the next hour. Once the clock hits the hour just click the confirm & pay and it should work.

    • Right on the hour?? Seems they are restocking 5-10 seconds after. If I hit right on the hour wont it give an error page?

      • I was just spamming the confirm & pay button around 5 seconds before the hour till it worked, and eventually it said payment confirmed.

  • +3

Sold out at 12:00:10. I suspect someone has a script that's scooping these up.

    • but you can only buy one per account per hour.

  • Dat feel when you find out your server time is 3 minutes slow. :(

  • +2

    10 seconds this time:

    First: 08-Aug-19 12:00:10 AEST
    Last: 08-Aug-19 12:00:20 AEST

    This is rigged.

  • Same deal as AirPods. Definitely not worth the stress for an SSD

  • +2

LOL, no way it could have been so fast, gone in 5 sec - "Sorry, we can't complete your checkout at this time."

    • Thats what is happening to me. Checkout by 12:00:10 and told seller is out.

  • So it told me my purchase was successful, only to let me know that "This order was not successful. Order cost has not been included in the total amount. "

  • +2

Spam the hell of buy button at checkout screen right before 12
got "Something went wrong. Please try to check out again."

  • wELL iT'S GONE. wait another hour.

  • +4

    Complete BS

Had in cart from last hour. Continuously clicking 'Confirm and Pay'

    Status goes from :
The seller doesn't have that many left.
    The seller changed the listing
The seller doesn't have that many left.

Thanks for a totally crap experience eBay Plus.

    • All items gone in 20 seconds according to their history

    • +1

And they wonder why people are only using the free trials.

  • Finally got one after three hours, so happy!

  • -2

Never any stock. Bots buying them all?

  • +8

I've plugged in my wired gaming mouse, overclocked my 75hz monitor to 100hz, disconnected any other network devices, and got a bottle of lube next to me.
    At 13:00:00 it's mine!

    • It helps to have a very low latency connection.

I'm on an AARNET 2ms ping to Google connection.

  • +3

Today is last day of my eBay plus.

Here is how I did it.

    1) Pressed "buy it now" at 11:00AM
    2) went to payment page and changed payment method to Credit Card
    3) applied the code
    4) downloaded https://sourceforge.net/projects/fast-mouse-clicker-pro/
    5) changed trigger method to toggle in clicker software
    6) at 11:58AM placed mouse key on top of "big blue confirm payment"
    7) pressed enter (key 13 is Enter key on key board)
    8) browser tab froze for few second, heartbeat increased and than there was confirmation message of purchase.
    9) pressed ctr+enter to stop software

I used above method to get airpod as well.

    • Jeezus… No wonder some people have no chance… Is there a program like that for Mac?
