I thought you can connect PS controllers to your PC too!?! But it's not exactly simple plug and play.
Yeah it will work with ds4windows. However I like the Xbox one controller for two reasons - 1. it just works with PC, no any extra software required. It more comfortable than ds4.

It would be difficult to find brand new V1 stock anywhere. I highly doubt Amazon would have any.

Just got one recently and have been happy with it, I thought the battery life would a deal breaker but I use it exclusively on PC and the USB port is right there, DS4Windows also works well.
I would choose this over the Switch Pro controller for the D-pad and fuss-free Windows Bluetooth support, and over the Xbox One controller which now feels a little cramped and the terrible shoulder buttons (maybe I have a bad controller, would love to hear others opinions on this).
Be careful though, it has recently come to my attention that there are some really convincing fakes out there, directly from Amazon should be OK.
Amazon themselves won't sell fakes.

Amazon have definitely had fakes listed, but sold by third parties through their marketplace.
MY XB1 controller had good shoulder buttons. In fact I find them nicer than those on the DS4. Tried the DS4 at friend's place and actually preferred XB1 controller. Maybe you just had a bad one or that it's not for you.
Thanks for the reply, I don't know if mine is just old but the shoulder buttons feel cheap, if you push them down a little harder they keep going even after clicking, almost like a double click, and they kind of creak.
If I get the chance I'll try to get my hands on another one to test.

I think JB normally only price matches brick and mortar stores only but depends on who you speak to. I've had someone at my local decline but then another store say yes. All you can do is ask!
Least with Amazon you get free shipping and you get a bit extra back with cash rewards or shopback.
Got Price matched at jb hifi blacktown. But they only had one black controller and they wouldn't do others for 50$.
Does this work on PS3?
Yes, I played through The Last of Us (PS3) on a Dualshock 4 when the PS4 first released. I think you have to use it wired and the motion controls didn't work - so if your flashlight needed a shake you were a bit stuck. Otherwise it was fine!
