Just bought this without the screen protector for $475 and arrived today. Dammit! Great price although My experience this week with delivery from Toll was incredibly unpleasant…

Rebranded Redmi K20 but there are more bands on the international model
I really love the specs of this phone… but I really dont want amoled/oled… cause of burn in eventuality :(
This has been fixed years ago
no it hasn't… it is still an eventuality of the way the organic diodes work.
Eventually they degrade, maybe not to the point of significant burn in… but colors will get worse etc
my iphone 6s has retention after a few years..
@sk213: iPhone 6s is LCD screen - which you may be aware :)
Not sure of the technical details, but AMOLED have overcome this or at least made the displays last long enough that the user usually upgrades ( usually 3-4 years ) before the degaradation hits, in which case it is better to go for the AMOLED screen for its advantages.
If not with the amount of panels Samsung uses and sells to others including to Apple the reports would be widespread, so I think you are still holding on to the past :(
@ozizoy: My S8+ has fairly bad burn in from YouTube after 12-18 months.
But they use fair bit less power so it is worth the compromise.
I do need a new office and this is fairly high on my list
@Phreaker: I am using my wife samsung s5, no screen burn-in, perfect, good as the day it was bought.
Also LCD suffers from burn-in as well.
Nothing is perfect.
Whatever, never heard anyone else have this opinion. I'd rather have superior screen tech for first 2 years of ownership. Especially on a $500 phone
Hopefully you dont plan to use the phone for 10 years plus. the phone wont last that long anyway to see the burn..
do Xiaomi phone drop in price as the months go on or do they keep their current price.
Band 28? Specs say no.
It's listed right there on the page under "Specification":
4G Network - 700MHZ
Doh…my bad. I'll shut up now.
700mhz doesnt mean it is b28, B12, B29 also 700mhz.
Hmmm so do we know if it actually is B28 then?
According to Kimovil, it has band 28

Neat phone but really want a deal for K20 Pro :)
What does the pro have over this?
Snapdragon 855 vs Snapdragon 730
A bit better camera
Bit the bullet and ordered a Flame Red Mi 9T from here since it's the same price as the Carbon Black but you get the holographic effect. The reviews and spec sheet make this seem like the best budget phone under $500 AUD, unless you wanna go for a Pocophone F1.
Only been using mine for a day but already love it!
How many hours of SOT did u get?
First day I was using it heaps to try to set things up. I was out and about a bit but had the screen on for probably half the time. Between getting up at 9 and going to bed at midnight, I used about 60% of the battery. Had both SIMs activated the whole time.
As a comparison, I didn't use it as much yesterday and had over 60% left when I went to bed and plugged it in. Battery life is way better than my old S7 Edge so far.
@LaHug: Yeah, Xiaomi phones have really good battery. I'm still considering the Max 3 (with a phenomenal 5500 mah battery and huge screen size) but 9T beats it in every aspects (except battery).
@hawkeye93: Well, and it's only been a couple of days, I have no regrets with the 9T so far!
about 5aud cheaper at BangGood using code BG89T6C
Is this phone a rebranded Redmi Note 7 or 8(?) for the international markets or a whole new subline altogether?
