Hey, i was browsing online today for 1TB drive and checked out Officeworks and saw this offer.
At least you know which brand you're getting inside the chassis and from a reputable store.
Mod: Link fixed.

though can't confirm seems to be 'portable' assuming 2.5" and 'external' 3.5"
Officeworks one is a 2.5", Good Guys is a Desktop.
Proper Officeworks Link is here, it's actually $98:

Toot, toot, ALL ABOARD THE NEGATIVE TRAIN!! =P
The good guys one is a 3.5 "desktop" drive, this one says portable which generally means usb powered 2.5 but who knows for sure.

That's the link to the drive that the OP omitted.
Checked online just now. This one is 2.5" real portable version.
The goodguys also have a samsung 1TB 2.5 for $97
Aw. USB2.0 :/ At this stage of things I'd only get USB HDs with 3.0 unless they were mind-bogglingly cheap.
Same here, I've just updated my home PC's and wouldn't buy USB 2.0 unless it was crazy cheap. I got a USB 3.0 3.5 drive from Aldi recently and the speed is fantastic, almost as good as an internal drive. I reckon $100 is fair for a 1TB 2.5, just gotta be USB 3.0 and I'm there.
1TB 2.5" USB 3.0 drives are only $18-19 more. Money well spent if you have USB 3.0 ports. http://staticice.com.au/cgi-bin/search.cgi?q=1tb+usb+3.0+2.5…
look at the deal below this.
also 1TB, but 2.5" for $99 (1 dollar more)….lol
great price and good for backing up my many laptops which dont have usb 3.0 yet. is there free delivery on this?
Most USB 3.0 devices are backward compatible, just a thought.
Isn't this OW's normal price?
How long is the warranty on this drive?
3yrs
I've seen in Harvey Norman the 1.5Tb WD elements for $98
Thats a 3.5" drive which needs an external PSU
I bought a 1TB seagate from officeworks on the weekend for $99. As stated the usb 3.0 version was only $119.
Great for back up if speed isn't a concern. Transfering files over i was getting 26Mb/s
I got the same drive for $89 6 months ago.
I bought the bundle special from Logitech Shop.

Good deal if you are after a 1Tb portable drive and don't mind a bargain Dinovo Mini as part of the deal.
Just another option.
Bought one of these today in order to bring some movies on holidays, wish i had seen the LS dinovo deal first though :(.
Oooohk.. Link to hotmail.com??
Anyway, cheaper elsewhere: http://www.ozbargain.com.au/node/47311
