  • More glasses, thanks!

    • I'll drink to that!

  • Are "no coupons" glasses exempt from this offer?

    • not sure…try to checkout with the coupon

  • OK how are they doing this?

The first coupon I saw, I thought, what a great deal - and paid something like $20 for shipping + handling for a pair of Armani glasses.

The second coupon I saw, I paid $9 for another nice pair of glasses, delivered.

This is just crazy. Where does the profit part come into it for them at any stage?!

    • -1

because your frames cost more than 100 rrp, it the system is supplying you with free shipping. But it is unaware that you are using the coupon as well. so you basically only pay for the insurance on your frames

      • They've got to be making a loss on each pair of glasses that they 'sell' though, right?!

        • +1

They probably are, but I'd assume with the selected ones they weren't making any sales anyway.

Therefore, regardless of what they initially paid, right now it's either keep them and make $0 profit or very little, or give them away and increase marketing efforts, word-of-mouth, customer satisfaction…

If anything, keeping them would cost them more in storage costs. 10,000 pairs of glasses would take up a lot of space, space which could be quite expensive and could be used for other means. It's all about opportunity cost ;)

  • is this deal includes the lenses as well? or just the frames?

  • -1

i think it include the lens as well too bad i dont my specs

  • I had two orders cancelled using a previous code so you may need to use another householder name to get a free pair if you have had one previously.

    • +2

You can use any name. Changing the way you enter your street address helps too, Just need a unique email per order…

      True OZB style

  • i keep getting this error
Product(s) not eligible for coupon discounts

    • only coupon eligible glasses apply this offer

      • -6

yeah i figured that out now, lame deal as the included ones are not nice at all!

        • The link above only lists eligible glasses, 1083 types of glasses where you pay less than $20 is lame?

  • +1

Yup, lenses too (unless you change from the standard 1.5 index).
My first pair of glasses purchased for a grand total of $18.
    I'm so proud.

  • The price is crazy cheap though. Most stores charge $50 for the anti-reflective coating and another $50 for scratch resistance !!

  • What if you like then unlike them on facebook? Will they cancel the order? lol

  • where do u put the coupon code when checking out?

also I can't tell which glasses are free?
    are the $100+ glasses free?

    • You put the code in when you enter your payment information.

All the free glasses are available in the first link, including the $100+ ones.

  • Got a pair of Bolle and Hillfiger . Thanks

  • Last week I got a couple of non-coupon ones even though it said non-coupon.

They seem to have fixed that lol.

  • I have perfect vision, but I want some

  • +1

Just got a pair that were retail 250 recuded to 150…

    For $9 lol

Bought Contact Lenses from them, but cannot claim from insurance as they ARE NOT Australian !

    • NOT a reason to NEG. It's not their fault. Even some Australian ones can't be claimed. You need to check first whether they have a PROVIDER NUMBER with the health fund you're with.
It's the health funds that make it difficult to obtain a provider number btw. Sellers are more than happy to subscribe.

      • Actually you don't get a provider number from a health fund. You get a provider number from Medicare Australia (which is also trivial provided you are qualified). Once you have one, registering with private health funds is trivial.

But if you're operating overseas only, then no, you can't claim.

        (I'm an optometrist)

    • True, but you shouldn't neg for this

    • why neg a deal about free glasses when you're unhappy with your insurance company?

your gripe, which incidently is your own fault, has nothing to do with this bargain.

  • Is it possible to choose the free standard 1.5 index even tho the prescription you input is greater?

    • Index is thickness and weight of lenses. If you have strong prescription (say -7), you can order index 1.5 lenses, but they will be quite thick and heavy.

  • So do I just call my optometrist for my prescription and will they just give it to me over the phone?

Also thinking about it I might need a new prescription as my reading ability has got worse. So can I just get my eyes checked, get the prescription and send it to these people for free glasses?

    • They will give you it but best to get a new test and have them write it down in detail.

Make sure you ask them to write your PD!

  • +1

I already have my glasses. Need a sunglasses.

  • they use the ip address to check if this person had ordered before so make sure you dont use the same Ip address and the same residential address

  • -1

I was going to buy this but then I received a letter from NIB saying that I can get two pairs of designer glasses from the $199 range at Specsavers at no extra cost.

  • this offer seems to be over now.

  • Received mine and am really happy with the quality. :)
