Darksiders 3 for XBox One at the lowest price I've seen. Cheap enough for me to buy it given I liked the first two, even though it wasn't reviewed spectacularly.

I haven't played it yet, sorry. From the small amount I saw while researching it it seems like it's closer to a Dark Souls game than the first two. Then again, I'm not sure what you mean by "progressive" in this context.
A slightly bigger, more dynamic open world. A rewarding leveling system (similar to Diablo 3).
But yeah, upon research, I noticed dark souls comparison too, not my speed I think.
Apparently they released a mode that is more similar to the hack nslash style like in 1 and 2 As Well
It's a big change from the first two games. Very linear and enclosed. The areas are usually just very small rooms with interconnected corridors. Combat is fun though but after about 2 hours I gave up on it. Without the massive open world and epic scale, it's just an average game.
@GunnerMcDagget: Ah cool, thanks for that. Not worried I missed out on this then. I'm sure others get some good enjoyment out of it though.
I think we're so use to being spoilt when it comes to new games now lol.
@GunnerMcDagget: I agree, I played 1 & 2 and thoroughly enjoyed it - was a sleeper hit for me - the series took a hiatus since and been waiting for no.3 since then.
Until I tried no.3 and noticed they changed the gameplay by a lot, didn't last me 15 mins.
BTW, this is also $20 at Target for PS4 and Xbox One but stock is limited. PS4 is in store only. Xbox One is in store and $9 delivery.
And they have Skyrim special edition for $10

Has anyone here played it? I loved 1 & 2, is it at least slightly progressive compared to the first 2? Would love to pick it up if so.
