I love these series of APUs.
Wish they got more love.
Is it the same guy that's changed price 3 times within an hour with 3700x deal?
yep lol.
Ninja, luv them
Might be a good option for someone building a home server? Is linux support OK with these for a DIY NAS?
There's a known issue with AMD rdrand bug that affects linux boot but it should be patched with micro code updates.

You should update your motherboard with the latest BIOS for the latest AGESA revision.
How's overall compatibility between components and software with amd hardware. From memory intel always had the upper hand.
for AMD users software compatibility for ordinary user space software is not an issue currently… and hasn't been for decades if ever.
In some rare circumstances the software might be written in a way that takes advantage of Intel specific instruction sets but if an Intel CPU isn't being used it will alternate to using a standard x86 instruction that an AMD cpu could perform (just as well, if not better)

should have made the price $123.45
Good option if you don't want/need a discrete gpu, though if I were building a PC for mum I might use the dual core Athlon instead, or 2200g.
Bought one for $135 and I am very happy. This is a great overclocker. Am running it at 4100 MHz CPU and 1750 MHz GPU without a sweat. I think I can push both 200 Mhz further if I need to.
surprisingly decent deal that not much people care about because the 2600/3600 are the favoured hotness
also take note that these are still on 2nd gen Zen+ architecture
