I’ve had my big w one for years now. Hasn’t faded or scratched off (with hand wash)
Both stores outsource their photo printing to the same supplier (Fuji), so the print quality should be the same. However, when I spoke to Fuji, I was told that each store provides its own mugs, so the quality of the mugs might be different. This is consistent with the slightly different dimensions specified on each site.
Don't scrub too hard :(
You can scrape off pretty easy with fingernail too. Still a fun idea.
I have used the HN one. Both the standard and the magic one (whatever they call it). The quality was really good for the standard.
I was a little disappointed with the magic one but it was not too bad
I actually just picked one up, from HN (click and collect - ordered Thursday 5:45pm last week, was ready to collect Wednesday, following week - i.e. yesterday), yesterday - I thought the deal had already been posted otherwise I'd have posted - my bad :(
Visual quality is very nice (mug with full image) - no idea regarding longevity, but after Feeblely's comment yeah - will try not to scrub too hard. I guess gentle hand wash, but that makes sense.
I've printed a bunch from big w from previous deals.
They're always chucked in the dishwasher and are holding up fine over 2 years later…
For $6 I'm not going to be too precious about hand washing them gently. Not sure why you'd need to scrub the outside of the mug too hard anyway.Yeah that's it. I'm pretty sure I got one from Big W a few years ago too, and it had no issues with the photo rubbing / peeling off

I recently got one of the Big W Fine Bone China Mugs when they were on special for $7. Looks great and has been through the dishwasher a few times with no problems so far.
Big W also have the full wrap version for $6, not just the standard one-face, and several different coloured trim mugs for $8.
