Netflix have just partnered with foxtel. And foxtel is offering 6 months free Netflix on any packages with entertainment and drama.
Had a look, lowest package is $49/mth for 12 mths.

Huh? I don't get it. Googled, and all I got was a link back to this thread.
Will this be for existing customers, or just new ones?
foxtel rewarding their customers? doubt it, you only get offered deals when you threaten to quit
I'm already getting foxtel for free.
legally ?
@toblerone21: When they took away my $20 discount for my internet cable and I complained, they offered me free foxtel as I had to recontract.
@jv: Did you use a lot of bold statements to get that deal?
I had the same experience with Optus moving from hfc to nbn. They kindly included a monthly customer loyalty credit and I had the 6 months free nbn deal when reconstructing.
@jv: and thats in perpetuity? is it the basic plan?
@Kozhutki: Yes, they included just the basic plan and threw in an IQ3 box…
So basically all calls withing Australia, cable internet and foxtel for $99.
I had to recontract for 24 months though.
@jv: lol that's some great retention. would the contract be void if you add options to it?
would the contract be void if you add options to it?
No, I have 3 x $10 options and they are the only Foxtel items showing on my bill.
I was on the $99 unlimited cable plan with a free 2 years subscription to Foxtel now, but NBN rolled out in my street recently and they offered me the same with NBN for $90 a month.
@nmcc08: I've got foxtel Now too. Got it with the drama pack for 2 years free.
I much prefer Foxtel cable to Foxtel now.
Let me fix that for you.
I'm already getting foxtel by paying for it.

Nope, Foxtel wasn't part of the $99 unlimited internet and phone bundle.
They threw it on for free after I complained when they raised my previous internet plan by $20 by dropping my discount after 3+ years…
I was given free Foxtel if I agreed to recontract for 24 months. That was over a year ago now, and we don't have NBN available until later next year…
Apparently existing customers can get it if they recontract for 12 months:
"you will be able to get six months of Netflix for free through any Foxtel package that costs $49 or more. This is for both new and existing customers, however, the latter will need to recontract for another twelve months. This offer is available until September 4"

will this work is you have foxtel bundled with bigpoond internet?
Doubt it. Foxtel via Telstra never get the same promotions as Foxtel direct.
Sometimes we get better ones.
Called it?
Doesn't really sound like you predicted anything. Just repeated what others told you.
and?
Hurt much?
Checks the date…
Nope, not April 1st
Next thing you know they’ll unbundle their sport and allow you to just subscribe to it.
Nothing otherway around? Like if u r a netflix sub then you will get foxtel now free for certain months?
Nothing otherway around?
I don't know, is there?
Still a rip-off
Partnered? They just added a Netflix button to their remote.
And you'll have a Netflix subscription as part of your Foxtel subscription….
Netflix have just partnered with foxtel
As a Netflix subscriber I now feel dirty.
unsubscribe then..
The hate surrounding Foxtel is just silly, they provide a streaming service much like anyone else, sure they still have improvements to be made and they're a bit pricey, but I think this is a step in the right direction.
No. Screw Foxtel.
You seem like a bitter ex-Foxtel customer.
…or ex-Employee.
It's only Netflix standard, what if you want Ultra HD? Is there a way to pay Netflix the difference?
We're paying $39 for entertainment and sport plus $25 for HD and multiroom…. don't think I can get a better deal even with Netflix and the plans on that link.
So when they say Kayo is like Netflix for sport…
They're a funny bunch, that Foxtel mob…
