$10 eBay Voucher (When You Make a Sale of $50+ on eBay)

230

Appears to be a targeted offer. Would be nice to use in conjunction with the $1.10 final value fees offer however unlikely to be targeted by both.

Must accept offer to be eligible.

How much would you pay in fees to eBay and PP for $50 item? About $7?

    • This should calculate it. Not sure how accurate it is.

    • Actually, for a $50 item with $8 postage the fees are $6.32 eBay + $1.81 PayPal = $8.13. Obviously more if item is over $50/shipping is more. Not really worth it!

Based on eBay's fee schedule here, an item that sells for exactly $50 (including post) would cost you:

      • $1.65 insertion fee
      • $5.45 final value fee (10.9% of $50)

Which is a total of $7.10 in fees ($8.70 if you accept payment via PayPal).

I got the email…maybe it's time to sell my original clear Gameboy DMG-01, with Battle toads, Navy seals and Spiderman

EDIT: as above I forgot how expensive Ebay has become…maybe not…

I sell most of my stuff on Facebook Marketplace nowadays. Much easier to deal with than ebay.

    • Same here, and NO fees!

The demographic of people on Facebook makes it a nightmare in terms of buyer/seller interaction.

  • Such a scam that they charge commission on postage. I sold something for 0.1$ + 14.7 for express satchel. End up losing money after being slaughter by ebay fee and Paypal commission.

    • Pretty sure that you weren’t doing it to make money by selling for 10 cents

      • No. Wasnt going to make money, I didnt mind giving it out for free.

Wasn't expecting on the negative side.

Throwing it out is wasteful. So yea…

        • Fair enough

I guess you know for next time to charge a dollar or so to cover postage fees

  • Not really worth it, the Facebook marketplace is much easier and has no fees
