You had me at Eat Free but alas the book does not live up to its name. (No Gluten. No Sugar. No Guilt. No Money.)

    • Get the next one in the series - No Money. Dumpster Diving for free.

      • You mean there is usually an entry fee to dumpster dive? 😱

I charge a finders fee for the best bins😉

Also this topical classic, Tips on recycling half eaten meals & chicken that's gone green - as told to the Royal Commission into Aged Care!
I mean - $6/day is too much to spend on feeding the elderly, when there's perfectly good food in the bin…😱

          • @INFIDEL: emulsify and feed thru a straw! .. hmm .. tasty!

@Wally: I see you are a fan of the enquiry - that's what was happening.

Uneaten food scraped off plates was ground, re-cooked, & fed to those on pureed meals (they were to frail to chew)😱
Working in a kitchen, the bins we scaped food scraps into were called "pig bins" as the food was fed to pigs. The practice was stopped as it was a health risk!

Chicken that has gone green were being used for meals in an Aged Care Facility😱

An elderly woman I met, showed me her aged care bill - over $1000/wk. Yet the average spent on meals is $6/d!

  • Thanks again OP!

  • Thanks for the excellent post. Grabbed most of them.

  • Tried like 7 of the US ones, and they weren't free anymore (like the pancake one for instance).
