I'm just here setting up my armchair and getting my popcorn ready to watch all the "bird flu is gonna kill us all" chicken little usual suspects to neg this deal and spray hate in the comments.

FWIW it seems like a good deal and nothing to lose.

The difference between US and local poultry husbandry is a wide gap. Just get proper info from local poultry orgs & forums.
Plus American chooks lay eggs on the opposite side.

This gives me an idea for a book.

what in the AI is that front cover picture

    • +4

Might not apply to this book (based on the reviews?) but there's a bunch of AI generated books showing up on Amazon that are printed on demand or for download. Example is an AI foraging guide with no drawings/ pictures - definitely not dangerous at all

  • Theres a special place in hell for anyone who raises chickens in a suburban backyard. Especially if the backyard is big enough that they put the chickens all the way down the back; far enough away that the owners cannot hear them but close enough to neighboring properties who have to put up with constant noise

who have to put up with constant noise

I have two neighbours with chickens and have no idea what you are talking about. Roosters make noise, chickens are mostly silent. Certainly the small noise they do make is a lot quieter than the dozens of local Cockatoos, Lorakeets, Kookaburras, Magpies, Crows etc you get on any given day of the week.

Tbh I’d rather all my neighbours have chickens instead of dirt bikes, lawn mowers, noisy old air conditioners, power tools, toddlers etc.

But that special place in hell for chicken owners? I think I know where that is, you go through it on the way down to go see the people with pet dogs that bark all day and night.

I like to feed the chooks ;)

I spent 4 hours last night looking at pictures of chickens and now this AI mess pops up? Cyberchickens

    We wonder if this includes ……. … … .. …… …. …….. …. …. ……. .. ….. …. .. ….. ………

  • There’s nothing in the book about dispatching, terminating, harvesting or whatever you call it when you get a chicken and convert it into a tasty snack. If you grab this book expecting tips and tricks for that, you’ll need to look elsewhere.

$100 bet that this is entirely AI slop
