Maharaja's choice pappadums now selling for $1 at Woolworths. Available in two flavours - plain or garlic.
I buy the plain flavour ones when they are a dollar.

I have tried the pepper ones. They are quite good.
…oh cool. wasnt sure if these were readily available. cumin & chilli are pretty great too…can definitely recommend
Sorry, not from the supermarket. Tried at a friend's place.
Lijjat Pappadoms are the most popular brand amongst Indians

…thats the ones i get! :)
Not just among Indians. They are usually good quality.
Is microwaving them anywhere close to deep frying? I've had pack in the pantry for almost a year, but a bit hesitant to use the wok to deep fry it as we only use it mainly for stir frying. Wouldn't know how long it will take to reuse the extra oil!
i throw 3x large ones or 4/5 minis in my 900w microwave for 90secs and they come out perfect. no oil no mess
Dont need to deep fry. Microwave or indirect heat based cooking (i.e. sandwich press, skillet) is fine.
taste like crap.
You need to deep fry it before eating.
No you dont…A healthier option is microwaving it!
I got these for 70 cents the other day. Not a bad deal at all.
Scrolling through and read this as marijuana
these are barely edible…try an indian grocer for the real thing with a lot more variety & better flavour and texture, usually cheaper too.
i had some llijat punjabi masala flavour last night…absolutely delish. you can also get other flavours such as chilli & garlic, cumin, pepper, etc. much more than youll get in a supermarket
