  • Good price, just paid $175 yesterday for a Martec.

    • Martec are junk especially the exhaust fan doesn't suck any steam up .

      • What the….I was told it was the better one.
        Supposedly 460m³ air extraction.

        • My ones rated at 350m3 and even if I spray must at it I wont suck it up fans still spins though . Your one might better but i don't rate my one .

Trying to match the Aldi specials. Although its $169 at Aldi it includes installation. Glad someone is giving Bunnings some competition.

  • This is a dupe. Bunnings doing install for 99 matching Aldi. I bought a ixl with 99 install voucher

  • Where is stock available?

How do these compare to the old 150watt X 4 incandescent globe ones?

  • +2

These are shit. 2 of the 3 I bought have issues with flickering of the LEDs, also not easily replaced as they are recessed in and not a standard light fitting.

Also the bulbs shadow too much on the LEDs. So the built in LED is not effective. Makes the room dark unless you turn the heat lamps on.

Noisy and not much airflow. Buyer beware but Bunnings have a good return policy. But they won't refund your electrican or a plasterer to cover the massive hole.

These are a new model. Why are they clearing them at way below RRP? Think I know why.

    DYOR

If I could say one good thing about them is that they look good.

    • thanks for the feedback

    • Dont you just push and twist them to get them out, they look just like the martec led ones

      • No twisting. It's pretty much like downlights with their clips. Need to unscrew the heat lamp to bend the clips straight.

        • That is a pain, i can see what you mean

    • Was it the identical model? I just bought 2 of these - specs look great on paper with the airflow etc. Bummed now that they seem to have issues.

Did you swap them and were the replacement units OK?

      • Got new replacement LEDs for them. They work OK now but you can't exactly buy those LEDs off the shelf.

Still bummed about the shadow but oh well.

        Yes exact model.

  • Anyone know how noisy these are? I'm thinking of replacing my existing old IXL because the fan is so noisy.

    • You get too choices, not noisy and no air movement, or noisy and air movement

      • The Schweigen BR500 is quieter & has more air suction power but is purely just a exhaust fan & doesnt have the heat lamp funtion like this but has a bigger price so an option to consider incase you wernt aware of it.

        • If just heat lamp it's just a fan then you confused by the ad by the sounds

  • These heatlamps always have shit airflow on the fans

  • Wait a minute, how common are these? I have never heard of these heat lamps until now…

    • What planet are you from?

  • I just bought one tonight. But the ticketed price was $99, so looks like a saving of $30, rather than half price.

  • The Heller model I bought from Bunnings also for $69 seems to be a different model (JACK-W) from this one, and I can't find the one I bought from the Bunnings website. Anyone has any feedback on this model, JACK-W??
