Appears to be laptops only. No components or peripherals?

      Sure does… Bugger

Yep. Not working for WD Reds.

Essentially 20% off the notebook category. Thought we would try something bit different.

Quite a few very good deals in there I think. Tons of gaming machines from ASUS and MSI as usual, but also but also some well priced business and general use models.

      eg HP ProBook 645 G4 14" AMD Ryzen 5 Notebook Win 10 Pro https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/-/173862276572

Not bad for $639.20 with a FHD panel, Windows Pro, Ryzen 5 chip, and 256G SSD

      AMD Ryzen 5 2500U 2GHz (6M Cache, up to 3.6GHz) Quad Core CPU, 14" FHD (1920 x 1080) IPS LED Display, 8GB DDR4 (1 x 8GB) SODIMM 2400MHz Memory, 256GB M.2 PCIe SSD, Integrated AMD Radeon Vega Graphics, No Optical Drive, D-Sub (VGA), HDMI, Gigabit LAN, Wireless-AC, Bluetooth V4.0, HD Web Cam, Card Reader, 3 x USB 3.1, 1 x USB 3.1 (Gen1) Type-C, Windows 10 Pro 64bit

Got any good deals on 550w gold and quiet PSUs? On the hunt for something to replace my vacuum cleaner like Litepower 550W.

        • +3

Not so much golds at the moment. We were selling a nice Corsair for under $100 for ages, sold tons and they were very good but can't get them at that price any more. There are some Thermaltake Golds that are a decent deal at the moment and reasonably quiet: https://www.computeralliance.com.au/power-supplies/!certific…

As a comment on more modest priced units, the Litepower have been decent for years, but Thermaltake have come out with Smart white and bronze power supplies that don't cost a lot more and seem very good. Practically no failures so far. I think people skip over them because of the RGB! Relatively quiet as well with 5 year warranty and the pro version has a 7 year warranty and a bit more efficient. Not as good, or potentially as silent as some of the Golds when running under load but one of the best options right now for gaming machines on a budget.

Thanks rep! Always appreciate the time and effort for great replies! Also. $600 for a brand new ryzen with a big ssd and FHD panel!? Amazing business laptop, especially as it comes with pro.

      • Hi there,

Is the MSI P65 8RE-048AU 15.6" Core i7 Creator Notebook Win 10 Home the White Edition?

The description says it's the 144hz model, which would indicate that it is the P65 Creator 8RF (White Limited Edition). However there's also some discrepancies. The P65 Creator 8RF (White Limited Edition) contains a Geforce 1070 over the 1060 MSI P65 8RE-048AU as outlined here -

        https://www.msi.com/Laptop/P65-CREATOR-8RX/Specification

Please let me know, if it is the White Edition I think I will buy it.

        • I'd like to know too. I checked the model on a few stores and most stores seems to suggest it is 144Hz as well. But it still contradicts what's on MSI's website for this GTX10-series generation. By the way the 9SD GTX16-series generation is coming soon (with i7-9750H and 1660TI).

        • I messaged Computer Alliance and they seem to be unsure now. Their documentation listing from MSI says it is 144Hz but after finding out it didn't match MSI's website they are now checking with MSI Australia. CA has updated their Ebay listing until MSI confirms.

I am hoping this is a case MSI switching the panels to the same 144Hz panel to streamline their supply chain for this model.

          • @Davesday: Our listed was based on distributor information who had it wrong.

There is a white limited edition version (that we don't have) at 144 but the silver model we have listed is 60Hz.

            • @Computer Alliance: Thanks CA for the confirmation.
Was really hoping it is a 144Hz panel. Still thanks for the swift response!

      • Any laser printers?

      • Any plans for a deal on the Synology DS218+ ?

toys r us is the new hobby warehouse on ebay right

    • I thought they went bankrupt and closed all stores didnt they?

      • -2

They closed all stores but still operate online

        • +1

Got nothing to do with the real Toys r Us which went bankrupt. Hobby Warehouse bough the rights in Australia to use the name - Similar to Dick Smith being just a landing page for redressed Kogan.

      • +1

Yes, but Hobby Warehouse bought and now use the Toys R Us name.

Looking for a new motherboard, saw CA 20% got excited, now super disappointed :(

    • Same. Was thinking to buy the 5700 XT. Can get less than 8% discount now.

    No zen 2 no deal

  • There are some pretty sweet deals, the new GIgabyte Aero 15 OLED can be as cheap as $2,319.20 For the 9750h and GTX 1660Ti version. The more powerful version with i7-9750h and RTX 2070 is $3,279.20 but it looks like it went out of stock pretty quickly.
Luckily ebay plus members can use the PISTACHIO code on wireless1 to get it for $3,229.15.

Considering these models are usually in the 3-4k range I think it's a pretty good deal, got one myself from wireless1.

    • Wireless1 also have the Helios 300 2019 model (i7-9750H and GTX1660Ti) for $1,869.15 (via the same code) but no 144Hz screen though. Its also a tad bit thicker than the slimmest gaming laptop (which is currently at 18mm).

    • Have you received your order yet? Still wondering if I should get the Aero 15 OLED. If you've got it already, what are your thoughts on the thermals?

      • Nope, they told me it will be shipped around mid August, but I am ok with that.

  • Damnit was hoping for flat 20% off everything at computer alliance.

Cpu just ended itself and it's time for a system upgrade.

    • Spewing you just missed the 3700x sales they had. Just checked their previous deals and they're either outta stock, or original deal expired.

There's always Static-Ice, Shopbot.com.au or au.pcpartpicker to check though I guess (along with the MSY pricelist).

  • PBEST isn't working for the Mi Band.

  • Confirmed PBEST doesnt work for Mi Band

      No wonder TRU went under.

      • Yep … however this seems to be Lego pricing for you, seen that price for baseplate at lego stores here and overseas hehe
