    Playing Shadow now, 90% of the way through. I'd say Rise is the better game. While you don't need to play them all it also probably makes sense to go with the second first. It hasn't aged and there's no meaningful 'quality of life' improvements you sometimes get in sequels between the two so Rise holds up and if you like it you can go onto the third later.

    Shadows not bad mind you.
