    • You never know when the NBN will stop working so you better stock up on data sims :)
      Especially if you are being paid to use them

        You must activate this sim within 30 days. So can't really stock up on this deal.

          • @CC123: We were one of the first connected for NBN so many years ago I cannot recall exactly when. It has never failed for us. Maybe the problem is with your provider?

      • A "new" service is just a new account. I would have think you can have up to 5 services per person running concurrently; no matter what provider. I have 3 prepaid mobile plans and 1 data plan active in my name at the moment.

  • My understanding of "New Services Only" is that this order should be of the first 4 sims per username.
    On the previous deal I ordered sim # 4 on my username, then ordered sim # 3 on my S/O's username and got $10 x 2 CB on both purchases - same CB account.

      Worth it for a $5 service but obviously every provider's activation services mysteriously fails to work for anyone changing providers every month, like in an actual price competition.

      The private sector is (profanity) garbage: pay $5 a month so that a website doesn't work or get ripped off so that it does. The "innovation" is creating a system that creates arbitary inconveniences to anyone not getting ripped off.

    I tried to use this deal a few months ago, and cash rewards did not grant me the cash back, they said catch connect did not verify my purchase. I have the receipt to prove my purchase and email chain I sent to cash rewards. I tried two times to address the issue with cash rewards but all they kept saying is 'wait' and then followed by catchconnect didn't verify so you don't get the cash back. :( I gave up trying to get the cash back due to the amount of pointless hoops I was jumping through.

      Please PM or respond here with your CR ticket number. I’d like to see why it was declined by Catch Connect (Cashrewards does not decline transactions). Having a receipt does not mean the sale was attributed to CR. If you wish, I will gladly state my findings here for transparency. Thank you.

      • I have not had a problem in the past with Cash Rewards tracking my transactions, so had not heen checking. This year have found a few transactions were not tracked by Cash Rewards. I did advise Cash Rewards but nothing could be done. Not like I can prove purchases were made by going through Cash Rewards.

        Part of the email is pasted below:
        I have checked your documentation and see that the transaction was declined by the store. Because we did not receive any specific reason for the decline of your cashback, our team has submitted an enquiry with Catch Connect in relation to your cashback. Rest assured we are doing everything that we can to obtain a commission for your sale so that we can pass cashback on to you.

        My main fustration was that the 'transaction was declined by the store' with no reason why. If there was a valid reason why it was declined I would not have a problem. It seem the cash rewards tracking was working all fine. (e.g. I did not have ad blocker on etc).

        Apologies if it seemed like I was having a go at CashRewards, perhaps this is Catch Connect not honoring their side?

        • TA was very helpful and looked into my issue. Even thought I had seem to have done everything correctly:

          My order number from Catch Connect is 583707, Dated 07/02/2019, Payment $4.90
          On Cash Rewards the information shows Date: 07 Feb 2019, Catch Connect, Amount: $4.90.
          This tells me Cash Rewards has recorded a purchase on the 7th Feb with Catch Connect.
          Both Dates match up which makes me think Catch Connect just does not want to honour their side of things.

          In the end TA spoke to Catch Connect they are still insisting the transaction was not attributed to Cashrewards.
          TA ended up crediting my account as Catch was still refusing to honour their side with proof.
          Cash Rewards did everything they could to assist me and the culprits ended up being Catch Connect.

      having the receipt doesn't mean your transaction was tracked.
      you need to have your adblocker disabled and complete the transaction in one go without going off to another website

    A tip to remember to turn off auto top-up in the website portal if you want to use the sim one-off.

    It's stupid how you can't click through cashrewards when you have your VPN on.. I don't even bother anymore.
