Don't need one but cracking price. Having bought this type of product before, that price in exceptional.

Great price but don’t need it. On the flip side, it would make a great place for my wife to stuff my dead body after I buy this.

Can't wait for the "Unsolved Crimes: OzBargain" season of the podcast!

Common amongst victims, their last post…
"It's easier to ask forgiveness than it is to get permission."

  • Don't need one but I bought two. Might be a new fit for the chainsaw

  • Incredible price, probably won't last long. I grabbed a few for some of my tools.

  • The $449 RRP for a plastic storage box though …. Almost as bad as roof pod pricing.

    • +2

The $449 RRP for a plastic storage box though

If you think this is bad, look up the Pelican cases (quality is better, but still plastic). The prices can go into the 4 figure range. Whether it's worth it or not depends on what your put in there (most civilians seem to use them for expensive camera gear).

  • +2

Thanks OP. It's big enough for our Tools.

  • +2

Great price. Don't need one. Got one anyway.

  • +3

Does it come with a surprise mechanic?

    • +5

No, but it usually results in a surprised wife

      • +1

        or, husband?

    • underrated reference/pun

Been wanting one for a while for all the crap in my Ute, but they’re bloody expensive. Thanks very much 👍

Great price, Christmas present preparation has officially kicked off. Thank you!

Those loot crate prices are getting out of hand!
What are the game developers thinking?!?

  • Thanks OP, needed a toolbox, this price is a bargain.

  • Thanks OP. Got 2.

  • Great deal, fantastic strong cases

  • +2

    Shame it's not grey. :(

  • Thanks OP, ordered 2 from the local.

  • I don't need one, but damn it I'm so tempted to buy one for the garage!

    This is very cheap! (relatively)

  • Good place to store the chainsaw, hedgers and other tools in the garage until I get a ute. :)

  • I feel sorry for the fool who purchased this at $450 lol

    • Harsh.

What if it was the best price at the time?

      • +1

This is why I feel sorry for them.

  • +1

    Thanks OP, bought it.

Thank you OP!!! This is a great deal!

  • They must be clearing stock. They don't have the 800 length in website anymore.

  • seems like it's on special order - any way to find out if a local Bunnings would have it without having to call in?

  • order cancelled
they're offering this one instead at the same price
    https://www.bunnings.com.au/rhino-1200-x-550-x-400mm-blue-ca…

    • As in Bunnings called and canceled your order?

      • yeah called up this morning and offered that one instead for same price

        • Pricing error and no stock is what I've been told. Got offered the rhino instead

        • Is the rhino any good? Doesn’t mention whether it’s stackable…

    • Exact same thing with me

    • Me too

  • Thanks OP, got one from smithfield.

  • So has anyone actually been successful in picking one up from an online order?

    • My alternative is waiting for collection. Bunnings are offering an alternative to the pricing error.

      • +1

Yep I know about the alternative that's why I'm asking if anyone was actually successful in getting the Kincrome one.

  • Just got a call from Bunnings. Head office have said its a pricing error but are offering the Rhino version for same price. It is going to be pulled from the website soon.
Still happy with that for a case though !

  • Would this fit in a 6x4 trailer? (Knowing that 4 foot is approximately 120cm)

    • +1

I have bought for that idea. Easy to bring it back if it does not fit…

  • So, if they claim this to be a pricing error, can they cancel the order or do they have to honour (I've already paid and got their confirmation email)?

Got a call, but their alternative is clearly cheaper. Not sure about the quality…

    Thanks

Rhino cases are pretty good. TBH I prefer getting the Rhino one for camping as opposed to the other one..
Based on the Dan Murphy deal a few days ago I think they can refund as its in some terms and conditions?

    • I negotiated on a Pelican for an extra $22 since I already have one that I purchased years ago. Wasn't as impressed with the Rhinos when I looked back then.

      • Which Pelican one did you get? Am I better off getting that one over their suggested alternative?

        • 1240 x 620 x 450. Depends what your after. The one they suggested was shorter than what I was after so I was happy to pay the extra $22.

Don't expect them to automatically agree though. I was informed this was done at the discretion of the store I had selected for pickup, rather than the supplier who was offering the rhino.

  • Much prefer the Rhino one - Thats a win and well done bunnings for offering an alternative!

  • +2

Was offered the Rhino and they allowed me to swap over to the grey colour which I'm happy with. Quality seemed to be on par with the other Kinocrome cases on the shelves

  • +1

ordered earlier today…so far only confirmation email this morning, no call from Bunnings or emails to offer alternative….
I guess i will just wait and see what evolves…

    • Same

  • +1

What is this? A storage solution for ANT's utility vehicles, tractors, trucks

  • As an employee today who received about 10 of these orders and even a email from the supplier who sells this to us, you wont be getting this deal. Bunnings is not going to honor it and you will be given a refund or swap it to https://www.bunnings.com.au/rhino-1200-x-550-x-400mm-blue-ca… as alternative.

Already have an 800 Kinchrome case. Wanted this 1200 Kinchrome. Would have been perfect in my 2050 long tray of ute I just got yesterday.
    Side by side lengthways.
Gutted. I was hoping to grab one for the pair, that matched
They would let me have the Pelican. It was rhino or refund.

  • got the call, went the rhino, surprised they actually called considering generally speaking the utter hopelessness of bunnings and their staff who wouldn't know a product in or our of their department… if even staffed at all…!! they should just put public access google in the store and do away with the staff all together!

  • Still yet to receive a call or email. I'm away on holidays, so not really concerned, but interested to see when they contact me.

    • +1

Don't assume they will call you.
I had to call the customer service number 5 days later, and as soon as I said I hadn't received my item they asked if it was the cargo box.
They are claiming the item is OOS with no ETA and have a list of customers they were told to call back and offer refund or the approved Rhino alternative. The rep said he thought they had called all effected customers, but obviously not.

  • Took awhile for them to contact me also. Called on the 8th i am sure they will call you soon.

  • Picked up my cargo case today.
They didn't have any of the rhino brand in blue 1200.
So got the 1240 Pelican box in blue instead. Thats not actually on the Bunnings website, they only have grey in the 1240 size listed.
    That's $325 lust price.

    I'm happy with the outcome.

  • Many thanks Op; plenty of storage space for all the tools now. For some reason my order got replaced by 2 blue Rhinos - it took 2 trips to get them home today. Luckily I only live 2kms away or the wife might have said to leave the second one behind. Airing it now to get rid of strong plastic smell.

  • (profanity) up orders, sizes, colours, no call advising of order status, etc.
Got a refund after many frustrating hours with Bunnings staff both on the phone and in the Coburg store.

Glad to see others have got a better outcome.

    • You needed to call the main office not go into store if they havent contacted you yet about order. Had no issues collecting my 2 cases.

  • Yeah called the main office as i hadn't received a call from them. They asked me to go into the Coburg store and the rest was pure frustration.

  • Was called twice and agreed with the rhino replacement then got a call saying “my refund has been finalised”, what the?

Pretty disappointed with Bunnings, called a couple times and Haven’t been able to get one of the cases. Now I’d feel ripped off if I paid full price.

  • ended up getting the rhino as the replacement, same size, …nice blue…most happy.
