I had one. Sound quality is great, and very comfortable to wear. But the fabric earmuffs are just too hot to use in summer, and the cords… so many cords…

Wouldn’t do that. The older mixamp’s use a different Dolby version which sounds normal/good. These TR mixamps sound crap in comparison, you’ll definitely notice a difference if you play shooters. Gun sound slightly echoey/metallic. Lots of complaints online but Astro closed their official forums so a lot of the discussions are now gone

Why wouldn't these work with a ps4?
The headset itself would work fine plugged in via the 3.5mm port in the PS4 controller, and even without the Mixamp will still provide some impressive sound quality, but the Mixamp itself is designed for either the Xbox or PS4 and don’t mix with one another.
The site did originally say "50 per cent off" so could be legit.
Anyone care to recommend some great wireless cans that work for both Xbox and ps4 - assuming there is a product that does wireless across both platforms?!
It was same price in Bennett's Green HN today so I don't think it's a mistake. Also the A50 was cheaper than usual.

If the pictures are accurate then just be aware this is the old model which has been succeeded by a newer gen product.
